We just had another terrific dinner with friends at Nic + Junior’s. Chef Junior has put an amazing feijoada on the menu that is a perfect dinner on a chilly night.

Went to Bullvino’s for the first time last night after it was recommended by some friends since we enjoy Brazilian steakhouses. The food was very good, I wasn’t a fan of the top sirloin as it seemed a bit dry, but everything else was amazing. The grilled pineapple ended up being my favorite thing we ate all night. Our server Ashley was very sweet and kind and was very on top of refilling our glasses and grabbing new plates for us. My reasoning for four stars is that we were at Bullvino’s to celebrate my boyfriend’s new job and we were offered a free dessert to celebrate. Our server suggested the flaming cheesecake dessert and we decided to go with the suggestion. What she hadn’t let us know is that the dessert wasn’t completely free, as we were charged $6 for a shot of Liquor 43 that was poured overtop the cheesecake. I understand alcohol costs money, but to tell us the dessert was free and then charge us $6 for it anyways was a little upsetting. I didn’t say anything at the restaurant because I didn’t want to cause a problem on such a celebration for my boyfriend, but you should definitely be letting people know that the cheesecake dessert will be an additional charge for the Liquor 43 poured overtop. If I would have known it was additional, I would have opted to get it without that, as the Liquor 43 was not very good with the cheesecake anyways, very strong and bitter tasting.
