I had some pretty high expectations coming into Aloette based on other reviews and it's pedigree. I can easily say that my expectations were met and exceeded. The food was top-notch quality and portions were generous. We started with the Beef Tartare and Grilled Sourdough, which ranks as one of the top ones we have ever had. Our server encouraged sharing dishes which I agree is the best approach. Our "mains" were the Black Truffle Burger and Aloette Fried Chicken. Again, both are a MUST! I was ready to lick the plate clean with no shame involved! The service was Michelin caliber but at a more "down to earth" approach. Very attentive, very informative without being too in your face. A perfect balance in my opinion. Atmosphere was lively but relaxed. I cannot confirm or deny our celebrity sighting as well... Overall, Aloette easily put its place in our memories and I would have no reservations (although you should make one well in advance as seating is limited) to recommend to anyone! Thanks again for a memorable anniversary evening Aloette! PS. Do yourself a favour and have their Old Fashioned...pushing itself into my Top 3!

This was a reunion of friends. It was as if we were at someone's house having a great meal!

Went for Winterlicious, and made the unfortunate mistake of selecting the entree and dessert with a ton of cinnamon sprinkled on top. The food just didn’t feel like a great experience on my end, my friend selected the falafel platter and bread pudding, which was actually quite good! But my honey cake was dry and the cinnamon was so much that it was really off putting.
