Best Barbecue Restaurants in Mitchelton

Another really nice meal at The Arsonist - excellent food and very attentive service. After having all of the set course dinners over the times I’ve eaten here, I still reckon the $90 pp is the best. Specifically the brisket which is undoubtedly the best thing on the menu. My only criticism is the noise level - the acoustics in the main dining area mean it’s pretty noisy, especially when full. We ate at 8 pm so it started to empty out about 9pm and that’s when you could carry out a conversation without shouting. Seating wise- the best location is at the bench tables near the entrance or the bar seats. We were seated close to the front window which is probably the noisiest location in the restaurant. However, this was a minor distraction - the food and service was, as always, great.

As the name suggests it’s all about the ribs. We got the pork ribs meal. I think it’s a staple. It was amazing!!! We were the only people in the place which scared us at first. But it was actually quite beautiful. Lovely service. My only criticisms are the cheesy side dish. More cheese sauce on the fries! It was pretty delicious but needs more sauce to balance out the dryness off the dish. Parking! Make sure you plan before you go! GET THEM RIBS YALL!
