Love the decor and feel of the place. Solid, well priced menu and wine/cocktail list. Friendly servers and staff. My only complaint is that the main entree - short rib - while excellent and flavorful was too small and a bit under salted for my taste. Same with the starter meatballs-while it was a good portion size for a starter, it could have used a bit more salt.

Had brunch at this farm to table restaurant and wine bar - on the porch outside the front door. Brought our dogs - fun environment with other people and dogs, and a great breakfast … Steak hash, Eggs Benedict, Farmers Omelette with fresh veggies from their farm/ vineyard.

Great cocktails! We were there at an odd time, Thursday at 2:30pm and had the whole place to ourselves. Good vibe there and I bet it would be extra nice on a sunny day to sit in their outdoor seating which is in a nice quiet alley.

Such a great experience at Niku! All the things I love about a well-run, well managed restaurant were in place here such as fantastic food, superb service without being too overt, a great wine list and to my extreme surprise, very moderate noise level so you could actually enjoy conversing with your dinner partners even with close to a full house. This was a belated birthday dinner given to me by my boss and I couldn't be happier that I chose Niku as my destination - checked all my boxes!!

It was excellent, I always eat outside on the patio because the noise level inside is too much. The only complaint, I ordered the Butternut Squash soup. It was delicious but very sweet. I knew right away it must have had additional sugar added. When I inquired the server said it had maple syrup and brown sugar. Which in my book is sugar. I was surprised because the restaurant is supposed to serve "healthy" food. It was so sweet I could not taste the squash, just sugar. The server took it back, no problem and it was deducted from the check. Second a bit nit-picky, but the server removed my partner's plate right after he finished and while we were still eating. In doing so the message is: "...hurry up and eat and get out." I just returned from France and there it is just the opposite. One is never hurried, and the check is not delivered to the table until it is requested.
