It’s been 10 years I eat from and at Balade. Consisting great quality of food. The staff is always pleasant and wonderful. And the vibe is very accommodating. The place is always packed, so that says something :)

I think this is an excellent Turkish restaurant. I look for restaurants that offer more than just Kebabs, they offer actual what in Türkiye are referred to as "kitchen food". In other words, actual dishes, like stuffed cabbage, my person favorite. When I look for an ethnic restaurant, I look in the reviews for people from that ethnicity, for their review. Because being a tourist in İstanbul doesn't make you an expert. I grew up eating Turkish food and age 61 I think I'm a decent judge. This restaurant is very good, the soup was very good, had the aci ezme, very good, the sigara börek, excellent. I recommend this restaurant as authentic with a broader offering then just kebabs.

I didn’t now have any food so that 1star is inaccurate. Next time I go back I will definitely try it out. Hookah was great they changed the coals often without asking, music was good. Drinks where ok but the overall vibe was great.

Lovely place, good food and service. Portions were very large - two of us shared one salad and a single entree and there was enough left to take home for lunch the next day.
