Food was overall good-sushi better than the pizza. Our biggest issue was we asked to sit in the shade on their patio and they directed us to a table that was mostly in the sun, then do one that was mostly in the shade. The part of the patio that was all in the shade was empty but by the time we left, it was full. Not sure why we couldn't have sat where we asked.

My companion and I both ordered appetizers instead of a huge meal as we were going to the theater. The appetizers were absolutely scrumptious and more than enough food for dinner! They cocktails (Old Fashioned) were fabulous and our server, Freddie, was OUTSTANDING!!! We will definitely go back!

Jonathan, the server, was not attentive. While his attitude wasn't negative, he definitely did not exude a positive energy - more like I'm just here filling this shift. My two gimlet glasses stayed empty for about 15 mins before he stopped briefly so when I ordered a second drink he was just about to turn away - he simply barely gave an opportunity to speak up before he tried to move on. After the second drink he just simply never returned until he asked if we wanted our bills. Crab cakes were ok, but the quality seemed akin to something frozen from Costco. My edamame did not come out hot. Again, food was really unremarkable. Space was HOT. Not sure if the A/C just was not working in the bulk of the dinning room. It wasn't cool until behind the host stand moving towards the restrooms. Bummed there is no happy hour.

We had tickets to a show at the Orpheum and decided to dine at CRAVE so we only needed to park once. The restaurant was very warm (too warm, in my opinion) though the A/C seemed to have been adjusted late into our dining experience. The server was very personable and responsive, but he seemed to have too many tables to attend to which meant service was slower than we have been accustomed to at CRAVE. Still, for what we needed it fit the bill.

If this had been my first time at this Crave, it would definitely be the last. Our party ordered two pasta entrees, a chopped chicken salad, and a flatbread. The pastas (one of which was mine) were alright but seemed like they had sat a while before being served. The chopped chicken salad had barely any chicken on it and the flatbread did not come until we flagged down a host to ask for a manager at which time they had to have it re-made (not sure what happened, if it was delivered elsewhere or just not made initially). In the 15-20 minutes between our three out of four meals being delivered and the time it took to speak to anyone, we had not been checked on by our server. The chopped chicken salad was replaced by another that had slightly more chicken on it, but it was kind of slimy and gross and still not the amount you would generally expect. The flatbread was good once it finally arrived, but all others in the party had long finished their meals by this time. I'm a former server/bartender/restaurant manager and it takes a lot for me to write a bad review, especially for a place that I generally have had a good experience. If the server had actually checked in a bit and the manager had seemed to care even a little, I probably would not be writing this and would chalk it up to a bad night, but that is not the case. They did comp the chopped chicken salad and flatbread, but really just seemed to not care. I will likely give them another shot as we are frequent visitors to the area, but another experience like this will probably be the last. Adding service surcharges to bills as everyone is doing these days (and I get it for the most part) isn't a great look when the service is this poor.

I’m a server, so I’m always very understanding of other servers, but our server was very inattentive and clearly didn’t want to be there. Additionally, we had to send the same burger back TWICE because the burger was raw in the center. We didn’t even get to order a second round of drinks because our server literally just didn’t come to our table. And we came here for my friend’s 21st so we were extremely disappointed. Even asked for a manager and nobody came to talk to us. I understand now why crave was half empty on the Saturday of pride weekend when every other restaurant was poppin. DO BETTER!

We had a reservation for 5pm and when we got there, there was nobody at the hostess station. After waiting a few minutes, someone finally came and asked if we would like to sit inside or outside on the roof top. We weren’t so so he told us to go up and take a look at the roof top. After deciding we wanted to eat inside, we were seated right away. Our waiter came over a couple minutes after we were seated. We order an appetizer and waiting for him to come take our orders. We did not see him until we received our appetizer and asked if the person delivering our food could ask our waiter to come take our order. We got a medium well hamburger and bacon Mac and cheese. Once we got our meal, the hamburger was charred and still rare inside and the Mac and cheese had hardly and cheese or sauce. After 5-10 minutes our waiter came to see how things were and I asked for more sauce which is not a cheese sauce but more like an Alfredo sauce. Our waiter was not very attentive and I never got a refill on my water when I needed one. We were very disappointed in our food as this Crave did not standup to the expectations from the Rochester Crave.

Rooftop patio made this a great place for outdoor dining. Lots of tables widely spaced. I got one without problem even though when I tried to reserve one online, it said "not available." Perhaps these tables are simply first come-first served. The food itself was very good, not great; I had a salad and chicken stir-fry.

Dinner reservations prior to a show at the Orpheum. We were told upon arrival that there was no indoor seating. Yikes… I wish we would have been told prior to arrival that only the outdoor rooftop patio would be open. It was a rather cool and windy evening and none of us were dressed to be seated outside.…..After being seated It took 30 minutes for our drinks to show up. I had asked the host if there would be issues with service delays seeing as a long line of guests had arrived at relatively the same time with a long line at the host station. I asked knowing that if a server was slammed, no matter how good they were, service would likely suffer. I think that was the case. Anyway we made it to the show on time and I do thank the manager for removing the Ahi tuna poke bowl seeing as the ahi arrived in a frozen mass. Overall we realize it was just an off night and staffing is challenging these days. In advance please let those of us making reservations know in advance if there is only outdoor seating available.

The food and the service were great. The restaurant decided at the last minute to have only patio seating on a windy day. It would have been nice if the restaurant would have notified us before so we could be dressed appropriately. There was no indoor seating that night. On a warm night the patio is lovely.

Made a reservation before a play at the Orpheum. Got to the restaurant, indoor space empty and was told all seating was to be done on the rooftop. It was chilly and breezy and people were dressed to eat and walk across the street to the theater, not for outdoor dining. I’m 65 and warm anyway and was dressed appropriately but many were not. Service was good, waitress attentive but could not get drinks from the bar in a timely fashion, we waited for a second glass of wine for forty minutes. I asked to have it comped and it was. I know staffing is an issue for many restaurants. My 40 something daughter said: “yes, crave is now just like “fridays”. Our food was awesome, a bit pricey. $16 for a Brussel sprout app for two was a bit much. How many brussel sprouts can two people eat? Where’s my favorite light ahi tuna crisps I’ve come to rely on? The menu is very “sushi centric” and we weren’t into that so the other menu options seeemd a bit limited, burgers, starters, pasta and expensive entrees

We had made a reservation for the main dining room for a late lunch before a show, and when we checked in we were told they were only seating the patio. Thankfully I wore a light sweater because it was so windy. I was bummed they only had the brunch menu, as there were even more limited options being vegan. Thankfully our waitress made some accommodations. I would have preferred a booth inside like I thought we had booked. I didn’t see anywhere on the reservation where it said it would be rooftop brunch only.
