Council Oak Steaks & Seafood at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood Florida
WE enjoyed all that Council Oaks promised. It is a delightful place to dines. The service was excellent.
We plan to go back.
Relocated restaurant to one of the ballrooms. No ambiance at all. My steak was way over cooked. However that didn’t stop them from charging a ridiculous price for the dinner. Way way over priced for what you get..
They now have an excellent Japanese wagyu ribeye that's out of this world!
Great food with impeccable service.
Our server Stephen was the best and very attentive to our needs and wants.
The food was amazing. But the service was phenomenal
This was our first visit and we will be back. We had never been to the restaurant, but the reviews were good. We got there late as we were going to the show Friday, night at 8PM. The waiter made sure to pick up the pace so that we could have dinner and make the show in time. Our appetizer was the Shrimp Cocktail and it was presented in a very modern way looked and tasted very good. We ordered the bone in Filet Mignon, with creamed spinach & baked potato (everything is a la cart). The cocktails ordered to go with dinner were perfect. All in all, food was delicious and service excellent. The restaurant reservations are recommended.
The atmosphere was superb, the server knew everything about the menu and the restaurant was quiet and calming. Everything was 4-5 stars until we got to the food. We were at the Okeechobee steak house two weeks ago and the steaks did not compare. We ordered the prime rib and the 8 oz fillet. The steaks were just ok compared to mouth watering at Okeechobee. I don't know if it was an off day, but this is how we felt.
Experience was fantastic! Food was GREAT! and, service was second to NONE.
Great variety of appetizers and entrees. I got the charred octopus and it exceeded expectations. Filet mignon was average. I will have it butterflied next time.
I just love the food, the service, the ambient ❤️
Went with friends. Service was top class, the seafood tower and wagyu meat out of this world!
Everything was pretty much perfect. I was initially concerned the atmosphere would not be up to snuff due to ongoing renovations . This was not an issue at all . Food and service was superb . The sirloin and Caesar salad was to die for . The only reason I’m giving 4 stars was that the linguine in clam sauce was weak. I did not follow my intuition to not order this in a fine Italian restaurant and should have . This dish should be taken off the menu if it can’t be done right . Everything on the menu should be perfect or it shouldn’t be there . All in all I’d return especially if I’m seeing a show on the premises . The server did not rush us but got us out on time for the show.
Had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and the six ounce filet medium with broccolini and mash potatoes as the sides. Everything was amazing. The streak was “like butter”. Followed up with the key lime, which wasn’t too sweet or too tart. Perfect dinner, perfect evening.
The service staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The steak was one of the best I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection and was seasoned just right!
the service from check in to the table was very very good!
Waiter recommended linguini with clams and shouldn’t have. It was terrible!
We were forced to send two dishes back based on being overcooked. Waitress was fantastic. She was around when needed and did her job perfectly. Based on the food we ate and the issues we had, I wouldn't go back.
We had a fantastic dinner in celebration of my son's birthday. The steak tartare was amazing. My son likes the steaks at Council Oaks better than the other well known steak houses. Plus, the fish is wonderful for non-meat eaters. The service was outstanding and the wine selection is great. I highly recommend.
Food great as always
Service was slower than usual
Top 3 in our household
It was the most romantic ambience ever experienced at your restaurant. More so in this area of the hotel than the other. I hope that when you move to your final destination that you keep in mind the atmosphere that you have created in this room and carry it on to the next.
Delicious! Very attentive staff. Calm, quiet ambiance which makes for a nice date night out. Food is pricey but know that going in and expect the quality to match. The Seafood Tower appetizer was amazing! Cocktails were yummy.
Great restaurant (even though it's temporary) Great Food and wonderful service!
Steaks were asked medium but were overcooked and burned in the outside.
Sides didnt have much flavor as anticipated from a steakhouse.
We confirmed reservation earlier in the day with Hardrock and when we arrived at Council Oak was told they don't accept Open Table. We were however able to get a table.
We didn’t know the restaurant had moved to a dingy dark room. First the hostess was not around and then told us that they were no longer on Open Table. However they could still give us a table. We were finally seated and the waiter appeared. He was fine and very polite. Our drinks came out after not too long a wait. The steaks were ok but not worth the price. The sides were average. The seafood pasta dish was awful. The pasta was mushy and the sauce was very bland. The seafood was dry and probably frozen. Certainly not what you would expect from the high prices that they are charging. The waiter had a hard time figuring out the bill seeing as we were 3 couples .
We won’t be back! Truly, a mediocre experience.
Excellent service and the food was wonderful!
Our meals of steak and crab claws were both very good. We had cocktails with dinner which were presented well and tasted good. Could not have asked for better service by our waiter...he was excellent! Will definitely dine there again.
What a waste of 800.00 [with tip]... couldn't get the main course right after 2 tries, first time too salty, second time too cold. They did comp one meal and 2 desserts.. I just wanted to get out of there. Changed recipes on a few things and was told that they were going to change them back when they moved into new location, manager came over but everything was too far gone..
Waiter was great and was embarrassed over the quality of the food. I have eaten there many times and won't be returning... again, staff was great.. I put the blame on the kitchen and chefs..bill without my meal came to 675.00 waiter got a mercy tip of 125.00 because it was well deserved.
Meal would have been comped anywhere else...
My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant numerous time over the years and this time it was terrible and I would never eat there again. I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it was VERY rare and they tried to cook it up by throwing it on the grill which did nothing. The steak wasn't even hot it was so undercooked. The sides came out cold and we had to send them back. Very disappointing experience for spending over $200 on dinner.
As always, wonderful service and great food! 😍
My steak wasn’t properly cooked. It was supposed to be medium, but it came out with completely raw center. After they cooked it some more, it came out bitter from being burnt and dry. So my entire filet went to my dogs.
Love the Brunch and the Staff on Sunday Mornings!! Michael and Tim are both two of the best at the Hard Rock!! Great service and personality and we always enjoy seeing them!
We waited a while for our food then we saw the next table get our food because the service people delivered our food to the wrong table and the people started eating our steaks and they realized they didn't order them and they refused the side orders which I knew were ours. These were taken away. Then we had to wait another 30 minutes for our food. In the meantime everyone around us who came after us, all ate and left and we were left there without our food. In the end the food was good even though I felt like they brought us the same side orders that had been refused by the people next to us, and our bottle of wine was discounted, but I felt it wasn't enough as our meal and mood was ruined.
Don’t try to go here until they relocate to the new building. They are in a horrible space that looks like a cheap catering hall for a wedding with an even worse lounge area. So sad.
Restaurant is under construction so it’s now a makeshift restaurant in a ballroom. Disappointed in the lack of cozy ambiance the original restaurant has. We will go back when the restaurant is built.
Very nice experience. Excellent service from our server Lee.
We love Council Oak but I wish I was told they were in a temporary location set up in a banquet hall when I made the reservation. I would have chosen another restaurant if I had known. The service was great as was the food, but the ambiance was substandard.
Excellent dinner and an outstanding staff.
If it is a show night, be prepared to wait, even with a reservation. We waited 45 minutes beyond our reservation time.
That was the only disapointment.
We order a Caesar salad to split. The portions were perfect but the salad was overly dressed, and bitting with garlic. We ordered cosmopolitans that where too sweet and had to be returned for a redo of a more appropriate splash of triple sec.
Two of us ordered halibut, and one ordered the branzino. The halibut was over cooked and not edible, which was returned. Our guest with the branzino finished before our meal was returned.
The waiter was very polite and helpful but this many mistakes is unacceptable for the cost of this restaurant.
The experience was awesome, the food excellent, the waiter was awesome. A 10+++.
