   I’m just disappointed that three adults who are and had water had a bill of $320. The food definitely wasn’t worth that. My pork chop was not juicy. It was dry.

   Typically I have steak at a steak house but opted for the fresh fish special. It did not disappoint. Two pan seared pieces of flounder with a light sauce on addictive velvety mash potatoes. Caesar salad was good. The tasting menu is really a great option at a good price.

   Fantastic place to go for special occasions..with enough notice given, they will go all out and decorate your table and dessert plates, etc. This is a hidden gem…every time we’ve been here, the service is top notch. Food is always on point and they time the courses perfectly. Servers always at the ready if you need something. Easy parking out front (parallel at city meters off Laskin Road) and just a block or two from oceanfront (Neptune Statue). So nice to have a meal and then walk it off to check out the oceanfront.

    We have been to CHOPs several time. The service. ambience and food have always been fantastic. Everyone is friendly. This time it was noisier than the past, but we think that was because of a graduation party.

    Very underwhelming. Went for Mothers Day and there was a limited menu which was fine. The problem came into play when me and my mother received our food in which we both ordered steak cooked medium well. Upon cutting into it the steak was completely overcooked with no slight line of pink as a medium well steak would look and was very rough and dry. We asked waiter if we could have it re-done and to have it boxed up as at that time we had somewhere else to go and would need to leave soon. It took almost 45 minutes for them to re-do order and when asked to speak with a manager it took him another 15 minutes to get to us and he had no empathy whatsoever and his tone was very to the tune of "oh well". He did not offer an apology let alone his name or any type of accommodation. I would think for a meal for three people totaling over $300 some type of something would be said or done but no nothing. Not to mention there was a graduation party as well which is ok however they were really loud and for those like myself who wanted to enjoy Mothers Day with their mother in a place where the noise would be minimum it just added to the frustration of the food not being done correctly. Would NOT RECOMMEND

    My husband and I chose to sit outside this evening. Our server was a young man he was good. I got the Ahi tuna appetizer it was just OK.  I prefer the sister restaurant Oscars to this restaurant.

    First time at Chops and overall I’d go back. We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday. The cocktails were AMAZING, the steak was mouth-watering but a little over priced. The caesar salad was not really fresh but the soup and calamari were delicious! Service was great and loved the ambience!

    Brought my fiancée here for her birthday as I remember how fantastic this place is from when I dined here a few years back. From start to finish everything was amazing!!!     My overall experience, I will give it a three. gratuity prices are ridiculous being we saw our waiter maybe three times out of the two hours that we were there. I pretty much paid her for another meal to not get great service. The time we waited for food when it came out, I did expect it to be a lot warmer than it actually was.

    The steak was good but the appetizers and the sides fell flat for me. The fried shrimp was for faintly battered. He came with the sauce, and it felt like the horse radish was really strong. It burn my nose a little. I did like the drinks but that about jt Overall, I went on a Thursday and it was not busy at all, and I felt like the food reflect the people that were ready to go home

    Food and service were excellent. Beware THIS RESTAURANT ADDS A 3.5% FEE FOR CREDIT CARDS. A small sign on the door behind the handle and small print notice on menu. I will never return.

    Whenever we visit Virginia Beach, we always go out on a date night. Chops is our go to place. The food the ambience of service is top notch. Abby, our server was charming and engaging. She went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect for us. Five stars.

    This was my wife and my first time here. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection and seasoned to well neither of us needed salt or pepper on the table. The service was exceptional. Julia was an absolute dream recommending dishes and wines that paired like a dream. We will certainly be coming back again.

    My son and I ran the Virginia Marathon on 3/19 and were looking for a good steak dinner thereafter to get our energy back. Chops did not disappoint. The food and service were excellent. We also were seated at a good table where we were able to talk because it was not crazy loud in the restaurant that night.

    Service and food was very good. I was there for my 30th wedding anniversary and ask for a secluded table and was placed next to a loud family. I just ask you try to consider the customer request a little more serious.
