The food is absolutely fantastic- so delicious. 5 stars on the taste!
I was less than impressed with the service, from the host to the server to the cook. I had reservations and still waited over an hour once arriving. I was kind and calm but the people who had waited far less who threw a fit and acted like children got rewarded with being sat before me. Atleast a dozen people walked in after us and with reservations later than mine and were sat before me. Of note, we had 4 people so it wasn't like I was asking for anything outrageous. I checked in multiple times with the host and was told numerous times that we were "next up" and every time someone else was taken ahead of me because they threw a bigger louder fit.
We finally get sat 1.15 hours after our reservation and our server took our drink orders. The soup and salads for the standard 5 course dinner took forever to be served. Our cook was nowhere to be seen. Our cook didn't even approach the table until 2 hours after we had been there (45 mins after we were sat).
Once the cook started cooking our server was gone- never checked on us. The whole table was out of water, needed napkins, and forks (not everyone can use chopsticks). We tried to get his attention but he was chatting it up with another table who seemed to be his friends.
We ate our ENTIRE meal and he never once checked in on us- I had never needed water so badly in my life.
I think he could see my disappointment and offered free scoop of sorbet.
The cook himself was okay, pretty quiet and not super social. He cooked the food well but was definitely not over personable.
