    Food was mediocre, what you’d find anywhere else at a comparable or cheaper price point. What sells this place however is the atmosphere and the scene of the restaurant. It transports you away from the hustle and bustle of LA and into an oasis. However, it’s not cheap and the food as mentioned is quite mediocre.

    Ladies 4pm outing for our dear friend. Everyone was so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our reserved table was view perfect, as I had requested an outdoor table. Aperitivos, then dinner, as the sun moved through the trees and the water feature subtly cascaded . The service, ambiance and attention to detail was seamless. They surprised the birthday girl with a delightful chocolate soufflé and a candle! Then we did some shopping at the on-site gallery. Thank you

    Hidden gem tucked into a lush garden surrounded by iconic pictures of rock n roll stars over the decades. The spicy potato chips are homemade sin, and the Hamachi crudo fresh and delicious. Excellent wait staff as well.

    Unfortunately wasn’t the greatest experience! Don’t go on a Sunday it’s like a ghost town. You can barley hear the music. Food was tasty but service was whatever. Only 3 tables were taken and only got approach 1 time to see how we doing!

    I’m an old client of the restaurant and the bar and i was very surprised in the lack of ambiance and nice nights we used to share. Super loud heavy music at the restaurant (!!!) and honestly, not good. It used to be an awesome place to call second home. All the people that were there, no longer are and it changed. A pity. Not worthy. Very expensive for what they offer now.

    Dinner was great and the boys joy real issue was the noise level which actually wasn’t bad except for our aging ears and loss of hearing especially from ambient noise. No real complaints.

    We really loved everything about our dining experience at Cavatina. It’s quite an oasis of serenity in busy WeHo. From the friendly hello past the hotel front desk to the lovely walk through the breezeway lined with photos of music icons. Over the bridge, past the koi pond we arrived where our pleasant host escorted us to our table overlooking this bucolic garden. The meal was equally stunning and unforgettable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming without ever feeling rushed or overbearing. The menu featured a perfect seasonal summer selection of lighter fare to pair with the warmer temps. Chilled melon soup was divine. A stone fruit salad with dried cherries, peaches at the peak of ripeness, goat cheese, frisée and an apricot vinagrette I cannot stop thinking about. Hamachi crudo with jicama wafers, radish threads, mango medallions, flake sea salt and olive oil in perfect balance. The attention to detail here is a thing of beauty. The ambiance is candlelit with couples enchanted by the experience. Music soundtrack of Bowie, Smiths, Cure and more curated with care and aligned with an absolutely perfect meal in every way. 10/10

    I just absolutely love this restaurant and appreciate the beauty and serenity on top of excellent menu. I especially adore the Salmon as it is perfectly cooked and paired as a light, healthy yet decadent dish. The burger is notable and the pastas were good. I did not care for the seafood pasta however. Service is incredible .

    Cavatina is a wonderful restaurant. The ambience is lovely, the staff is excellent, and the food is so delicious. I stayed at the Sunset Marquis for business and had several meals/meetings at Cavatina and there's not one meal or item on the menu that wasn't excellent. Highly recommend.

    It is a nice looking space, but the service was bad and the food was mediocre. If the prices were not so high it would make sense, but it's overpriced for what you get. Maybe an off night, but our waiter ignored us our drinks didn't come until after the entre arrived.

    It had been 4 years since we last dined at Cavatina. Previously, we ate there for their Easter and Mother’s Day brunches. The pandemic changed that but we still wanted to try them by ordering off their menu. As a party of 6 ( 2 children under 5) we had hoped that there would be a kid’s menu ; there wasn’t. The menu selection was fine with me but some in the party wanted a better variety and did not like having to order sides for every breakfast item. For example, the $19 pancakes were just 3 pancakes, if you wanted bacon, eggs and/or potatoes that would be separate sides. The kitchen and server failed in bringing out our order. One order came out and 10 min later the rest came. Which meant that the diner waited to eat with the rest of the party (making their good cold) or eat while the rest of the party waited for their food. Which would not have been an issue if the order that came first was for the children-even after I alerted our waitress, she offered a halfhearted apology; still we waited. When the food finally arrived, it was still missing items. The pancakes (2 orders) did not come with their sides -again we had to inform them. My order was the French toast with vanilla whipping cream, my plate did not include the whipping cream instead they gave me syrup; not what I wanted or ordered. Again I had to wait and even when it came out, it was as if I was asking for something different than what the menu stated. I’m told that the flat iron steak was delicious, as was the eggs Benedict over blue crab. I would have accepted the deficiencies if the restaurant was busy; it wasn’t. There were plenty of empty tables and there was plenty staff. The waitress just didn’t pay attention to how the plates were delivered. It was quite obvious if a table of 6 ordered food and after 5-10 minutes only 1 plate was brought out, she should have initiated contact instead of me having to get her attention. Secondly, the sides should not have to be asked for either.

    Took my wife here for Mother’s Day: it’s a hidden gem off the strip. Iconic photography is displayed all over the property, very cool history to the place (if you are into that sort of thing). Food was excellent, maybe a little pricey (not overly so for this area), service was great as well. Be sure to hit the gallery on your way out (Morrison Hotel), and the bar does live music on Tuesday nights. We’ll definitely be back.
