Great experience! Had a blast and food was amazing!
Food was bland and lackluster. Drinks and service were the only redeeming qualities
Very tasty and good service. Excellent guacamole!
Huge portion sizes, including the small plates. Food quality is mediocre.
High level of noise. Dine on the patio for quiet conversation.
Personable and efficient server.
I went with friends and we had a fantastic time! We had guacamole which was delicious! I had these steak fajitas with homemade flour tortillas someone had the chicken enchiladas and then three of my friends had the Santa Barbara restaurant week special. We will definitely be back Montecito Village is just so Charming
Food was good ... when it arrived. Soup and a quesadilla seemed to get lost. The waiter was friendly but not attentive at all. It was hard to get his attention when we were given food we didn’t order, or for the missing food. Twice. Then the check included the dish we didn’t order and didn’t keep, and no offer of crediting the hour-late dishes. Disappointed. But the food was good.
Always good local spot
Excellent as usual. Unfortunately we were seated next to group and their conversations made it hard to hear each other.
Very different choices. The Paella was outstanding and was a big hit with us. Excellent surprise for us.
We ate on heated patio-very quiet and warm with the heaters on. Great service and food. Tapas portions very ample
Always a great meal and great service at Cava. We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent food, and ambiance. Unique presentations of classic and new dishes. Comfortable seating choices, including patio options. Inventive cocktail choices.
Favorite restaurant! I love the ambiance, the food, & the service. It has a great vibe!
The best part of our meal was the chips. The arugula salad was fine as were the tamales. Tacos were not very good. Service was fine.
Had an early dinner there on New Year’s Eve. First time there. Sat outside under warming heat lamps—cozy and a good spot for people watching. The scene inside was lively, too. The food was delicious—veggie enchiladas were well prepared and the Spanish potato tortilla was the best I’ve eaten anywhere. Service was great. We live South, so a 40 minute drive to Montecito, but well worth the drive. Can’t wait to return!
Just ok. Nothing special.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Great food, always. Wonderful services and ambiance.
Our favorite place for lunch, happy hour or dinner.
Always our favorite place to dine when in the area.
Love Cava. We treated my niece and her fiance to an engagement lunch. They loved it too and since they live in Montecito will come back.
We stumbled across Cava Restaurant while visiting Montecito, and we were so happy that we did so! The food was excellent, and the setting was lovely. Each person in our party enjoyed a different dish, and we were all very happy with our meals. Service was excellent. I will definitely return during my next visit to the area!
A wonderful meal at a fabulous restaurant. The service was very friendly and excellent. Highly recommended
After over 20 years Cava is still consistently satisfying. Please never change.
We always enjoy Cava in Montecito...the food is consistently delicious and the service is great. We like to sit outside when its warm, but they have heaters so it's fine even on a chilly night. Sometimes we take our pooch and sit on the side patio where she is happy.
Cava was very disappointing this visit. Service was very poor, food not hot, music never showed up after we asked if they were having music. A disappointing experience. I may need a break from Cava and let them regroup.
I would suggest a different entrée. everything was quite ordinary. chips are not fresh made. Small shrimps in enchiladas were probably frozen no flavor. Guacamole was good but could use more spice.
Good food and great service.
Can not say enough good things about Cava. The food and atmosphere were exceptional. I had the seafood enchiladas, and they were truly the best I’ve ever had!!! Highly recommend!!!
Really lovely restaurant. Service was great and the food was delicious and the portions were more than adequate! There is a tremendous amount of options in this market. I thought this place really stood out from the competition.
We all enjoyed our meals very much, including the coconut shrimp, shrimp fajitas, chicken salad and flank steak. It was really noisy when we arrived at 8 but by 9 or so much quieter. The tortilla soup was excellent.
Excellent Mexican/Spanish food in Montecito area. We had carne asada and lamb shanks, both delicious. Great service.
Cava is a great location. The service was fine, and the restaurant is pretty. I've enjoyed it in the past, but unfortunately it was lackluster this time.
The problem was they advertise rock shrimp tacos, which I get at most mexican restaurants. When they arrived, they looked pretty, but the shrimp were 100% not rock shrimp. They were tiny bay shrimp, and gross. They were overly fishy, and the bottom of the plate contained so much liquid from the cooking to plating process it made the tortillas wet and soggy. So unappetizing and low grade.
We also had the mole, the quesadilla, and another fish dish that were good. Not great, but good enough. The quesadilla was the appetizer, which is sizable and definitely a meal unto itself. Their chipotle sauce is really good and has a kick that definitely elevated the quesadilla's game. The mole was good but too overly sauced, and the black beans were lost in it.
The margarita was not strong enough and I had to buy an extra shot.
I've had great experiences there and brought many a people. This was not one of them, and unfortunately we had the in laws with us from the East Coast who were really looking forward to it.
Good local Mexican Restaurant with attentive staff. A tad pricey but your in Montecito do nothing is “affordable”.
We come to Cava every time we are in Montecito. We have always shad a great experience. The food especially the halibut is unbelievable. It will become your new favorite restaurant if you try it.
Had a wonderful experience :-) the food was incredibly good, large portions and the service was impeccable!
Bringing food to the table was very, very slow. Not sure if it was a bad night for the kitchen or our waitstaff person. The restaurant didn' seem exceptionally busy. We tried 4 dishes and each was delicious.
One of our local favorites. Great food, wonderful atmosphere.
The food was atrocious and our server was “away with the birds”.
The restaurant is in a beautiful location but really need improvement. The outdoor area is like a Macdonald patio. Food was ok but nothing special.
Absolutely delicious! They have the best red sangria!
