Carter & Fitch
Pizzeria - The Carter & Fitch pizza is a real Italian affair. Devour the Pizza Lungo 12” thin crust pizza, fresh from our Italian oven. The base is hand stretched using long ferment dough, resulting in a delicate crust. Topped with our very own secret sauce.
Smokehouse - All of our meats are from selected prime cuts, rubbed with our unique blend of spices and seasonings, infused overnight, then smoked in our Oklahoma smokehouse oven, low and slow over Mesquite, till meltingly tender.
Bar - Our fully stocked bar has something to wet every appetite from beer, spirits, wines, champagnes and cocktails. If you feel like throwing caution to the wind…ask your server about our new ‘Hard Shakes’. We even have a ‘Speak Easy’…Shhh, that’s our little secret!
Lovely food and not too expensive, well worth a visit.
Another excellent lunch at Carter and Fitch. Two courses for £10 is excellent value. Home made pizzas made in Pizza Oven were outstanding. Worth a visit!
Great service as usual. I will be coming back very soon :)
Burgers and starters were great. Pasta wasn't very nice. Service was great.
Although there was a small issue with the starter, it was rectified more than satisfactory. Will definitely go again
I was there with 5 other guests for my birthday lunch and we were in over two hours due to the service being so slow. We didnt get there menus or a drink until we’d been sat for 15 minutes. We had to ask several times for the bill and the card reader, which never turned up in which we paid at the bar. Loads of staff there, all at the bar chit chatting and not seeing to guests.
Our overall experience was good as it was my wifes 40th so we were happy anyway but what did let my visit down was the meal, as i dont eat tomato or mushroom, when ordering the steak all i eat is the steak and the chips so when im paying over £20 i want it cooked how i asked for when i was asked, i asked for medium and it was nowhere near infact i would say it wasnt even medium rare, i had pieces of soft flesh on my plate which some people like but unfortunatly for me i dont also my wife was almost half way through her meal before her onion rings came out other than that we had a nice time.
First time trying sunday lunch after a recommendation from a friend. We tried the meat platter which came with all the trimmings. First time we have ever had batter cauliflower and just like the rest of the meal it was outstanding. I have recommended it to friends to try. This will be our choice on a sunday from now on.
We had a lovely meal but it was spoilt as we didn’t get the veg until my husband was nearly finished, apparently the chef dropped it on the floor, we would rather they told us what happened and asked us to wait a few more minutes, we were not told when they brought the meal out but we were, we did only pay for one meal but it spoilt the night.
The waiter bringing a Rose over on Valentine’s Day was a really nice finishing touch. Lovely food and lovely staff.
Lovely night, portion was small for the price you expect a little more, ordered pulled pork with dirty rice, tiny pot of dirty rice. Steak reasonably priced though.
Excellent lunch. Home made pizza outstanding and lovely cheesecake for dessert. Staff attentive and friendly. Will return soon
Highly recommend the Sunday lunch sharing platter . Selection of meat - beef pork turkey and gammon ! Lovely roasts and vegetables including battered cauliflower mmmmmmm! Nice Yorkshire’s too and lashings of hot tasty meat gravy ( not granules)!
Weekday lunch menu isn’t great to be fair and very pricey. But stick to the Sunday lunch menu and you cannot go wrong!
Visited from Belfast with family who live local.
Staff were lovely. Had to send one cocktail back but staff remade it for us.
We wanted different cocktails On our next round but didn’t have any bubblegum syrup for the cocktails we wanted.
music wasn’t on constant so wasn’t really a good vibe like we’ve had before.
Wow! The best place to dine and spend quality time with your family. My two kids are very picky , but they love every minute and the food. My partner gives a 10 out of 10 . The staffs are amazing. Thank you ! I cant wait for my next visit
Had a stunning meal, the staff were fast and friendly, would recommend a visit to anyone.
Would have been nice to have a separate bar but nice food and staff very friendly
Modern bright environment very welcoming! Lovely staff, very well presented and polite, lovely young staff who were confident and charming! We will definitely be back!
Carter and Fitch is pretty good, but we weren't told about the set New Year menu for £35 per head on booking. That meant a bill of £115 for the three of us without drinks. On asking the manager we were allowed to just order pizza, but was stuck in a table round the corner out of sight with little waiter contact. Other than that I've had good experiences of C&F. Maybe avoid New Years Eve.
We booked a table for New Year’s Eve so expected noise and slower then normal service.
When we arrived our table was not ready for us.
We stood waiting at the door 15 minutes.
We sat at the table for a further 10 minutes before anyone came over and explained that it was not the normal menu tonight.
This was not on the website, not on the Facebook page, no email or phone call from the restaurant to inform us. And no posters in and around restaurant or hotel.
The waiter apologised and said she’d see what she could do. But did not tell us or leave us a menu for what was on that evening. It wasn’t an issue but the service we received due to this change in menu was shocking.
The deal which was £35 per person all you can eat I assume - was not explained at all. So we opted for pizza’s each.
Which 2 of the 4 came burned. We got some chips they were not cooked! And we’re raw!
We waited 30 minutes for someone to take our drinks order and then a further 10 for someone to take our food order.
The wine came and we had to open the bottle ourselves.
A man came over to apologise and offer us a free drink but actually it all felt a bit pointless as he was again apologising for the menu change. We were upset with the service.
The reason we chose the pizza option was because no one explained the other option. And kept saying sorry about it.
It honestly felt like no one had a clue what was going on.
It’s a shame I have been to this restaurant a lot of times and have enjoyed many a lovely meal. This was a huge disappointment, we left earlier then we thought we would as we didn’t feel comfortable or welcome. And we left hungry!
Food beautiful, staff excellent. Singer a little loud when sitting for a meal.
Lovely food but over priced. This was our 2nd visit but the overall cost was too high.
Waited ages for food even though restaurant was fairly quiet. Yorkshire pudding burnt and string found in meat. Staff not very friendly.
Didnt enjoy food , was standard , not enough choice and expensive
We had booked a table. Ordered main courses only. Waited 55 minutes for food, were not approached by any staff to explain the long wait until we asked. Response was not very apologetic, just well we've got a group in another room.
Pizza was good, butternut squash dish good, salads fresh.
Overall, quite a nice experience, but we did feel the prices were a little steep for the type of food. We would go again, and now we know what the portion size is we can plan to be a little more thrifty.
The service was very poor. We had to wait for quite a while for a drinks order to be taken by this time we had already gone to the bar ourselves.
The food was ok but my partner got a rib eye steak which was not seasoned and he preferred my pizza to his steak which shows how bad it was!!! We would have complained but no staff returned to our table until we requested the bill from the bar! Will not be returning any time soon
First visit & very impressed with food, service & ambiance.
One small niggle was that our various glasses were not taken from the table the whole night.
I will definitely return.
Great little restaurant, food was very good for lunch and our guests were impressed.
Very quiet, hope it gets busier as it deserves more customers.
Top notch quality food and drink at great value. Highly recommended.
Service was excellent from inital table booking until I paid the bill. The food was amazing and well worth cost. When I left, I booked the table for a repeat visit.
My party had an overall poor experience. The staff were very friendly but rushed off their feet! The food was poor unfortunately. Two of the party chose chilli. It was so runny it was like soup! Really difficult to eat with a knife and fork. There wasn’t sufficient rice to go with the chilli so we asked for additional portions. This never arrived. We had to wait some time before staff came back to us to ask if we wanted to order dessert. As it was so late we had to skip dessert and order coffees. So disappointing! We will not be returning.
Cocktails were amazing. The food was tasty and big portions. Nice atmosphere and waitress was very helpful. Will definitely return.
Food was just ok...nothing special...ok because it is local and in walking distance for us.
Great service, huge portion sizes and delicious food. Menu variety was also awesome. Very happy customers
Soulless atmosphere, corporate culture, unispired cardboard vegetarian choice , every lager tasted of chemicals and metal . My wife and I were there as a couple for a romantic meal and were put in between travelling salesmen plugged into laptops , MP3 players , phones or all three in one case. Autopilot attention from staff . The worst restaurant I have been to in years . Clueless crap
I didn't enjoy the food, the pizza oven was broken so the kids couldn't have garlic bread as their starter and didn't like the other two options so only have 2 courses but still got charged for 3. There was a very limited choice of food as the proper menu didn't start til 6, I chose the steak pie which had more gravy than steak and only came on a plate with a dollop of potato and a gravy boat, no veg. Very over priced for what we got, we won't be returning.
Very disapppointed, Service was beyond poor. almost 25 minutes to seat us at a table which was empty when we went in, no-one greeted us to ask us if we had a booking, we had to approach staff after standing near the bar for 5 minutes without any contact. once seated we were given menus but not asked about drinks for another 5 minutes (which we were given free for our inconvenience). Food was satisfactory but further drinks orders were seen to be standing on the bar whilst staff chatted amongst themselves. the 'restaurant' itself is more like a diner / clubhouse than a traditional restaurant, with people coming in from the hotel & golfcourse and sitting at tables and seemingly being attended to quicker than ourselves.
we were not the only people to suffer as other people were complaining at other tables and like ourselves being given free drinks / sides as compensation.
Food was nothing spectacular but was nice enough, and servers were polite when at our table, however the place was not busy, so thee service should have been significantly better
We were a party of 4 adults & 2 children, service was ok until we had finished our main course. We then waited 45 minutes for the children to be served their desserts,& this was after asking 2 members of staff if there was a problem. Subsequently our bill was discounted by 15%.
The food was fine , & we will probably return but hopefully the service will be a little quicker.
