    Been here many times for drinks and dancing, but my first time for dining as I had friends visiting from TX and took them here. They loved the story behind the name, service was very friendly and the food was great. Only two things we would have improved were the fact that one of my friend ordered a drink and never received it, and the helpers were a bit too fast in taking everything off the table while we were still sitting down. Seemed a little pushy though I assumed it was because the live band was setting up to play soon and they were moving tables off the floor. Notifying us ahead of time would have made things easier. Still highly recommend though!

    my friend and I were visiting from Washington DC. This place was recommended to us by a young local. we should have taken that into consideration. We got there when the restaurant was turning into a club. The food was OK. The asparagus appetizer was phenomenal. It was so loud we could not talk to each other. I would go back if it was early in the evening, the server was great.

    Used open table for a reservation for 2, high top table. The hostess alleges there was no reservation even though I showed her the confirmation that I received. We were seated and I asked for one of the many vacant high tops, she said not as they were for larger parties. There was no one waiting and there were 6-8 open high tops. They proceeded to seat 2 parties at those tables with 1 and 2 people-and the others remained vacant the entire time we were there. Very disappointing. The waitress was "underwhelming", food was okay.

    I went here for my friend’s 30th birthday and it delivered in every way! The oysters were incredible and so was the gnocchi, cod, and bruschetta. The drinks were also 10/10. Bonus points for letting us bring the birthday cake to the back area and letting us sing happy birthday to her. It was a perfect night — thank you to Tim and the amazing staff!

    Excellent vibe with the side benefit of making Carrie Nation spin in her grave. Recommend the smoked old fashioned. Best of all was the live jazz trio. I want to be the resident bar fly.

    You have to wait in a line outside for dinner reservations as if it’s the club… everyone (the “bouncer”, the host/ID checker, the lounge “bouncer”, etc) had disgusting attitudes with the exception of our waiter. This is Carrie nation not some exclusive club lol also their chicken is so bland.

    Loved the drinks, food and the Jazz. Appetizers and Entrees were all great; I loved my drink. The deserts were not as good, but overall still 5 stars.

    We were greeted and seated on time. The waitress was quick and thorough. She was pleasant, friendly and professional. Everyone enjoyed their meal choices. I found the garlic, tomato and gnocchi plate to be more sauce than gnocchi. The sauce could do without the skins of the tomato. Overall a good experience and would recommend and return to this restaurant. Thank you.

    Nice atmosphere and good service. It was a Wednesday night and not very crowded. Drinks were tasty but pretty weak. Heirloom tomato salad had maybe 2 small pieces of heirloom tomato. Big disappointment. Salmon was ok. Nothing special. Wouldn’t go there for the food.

    Our server gave the impression that we would be taken care of for my 21st birthday and insisted on a round of shots, implying that they would be comped, and then charged us 44 dollars. The staff was very defensive when we brought this up, would not go again due to the service.

    The filet was absolutely amazing. Cheese plate is the best I’ve seen in Boston. It was rather big. 6 cheeses. Loved it.

    Initially had some hiccups with reservation taken at 9:30pm but kitchen closes at 9:45pm. Not sure why they took a reservation at 9:30pm if that’s the case. Chef didn’t want to take order and lacked customer centricity. Nevertheless, the manager intervened and was accommodating and made sure to rectify the challenges from shortcoming in service. Offered complimentary drink to smooth things over.

    Overall we had a great time! The ambience is really cool, so much to look at. It's a cocktail bar so I ordered a Sazerac but what I got wasn't a Sazerac. They were really nice about seeing if I liked it and sending it back if not. We ordered the tuna tartar and shrimp cocktail then the halibut. The halibut was amazing! The fingerling potatoes were cooked to perfection. Everything was good!

    Food was very good, live dinner music was perfect. The speak easy looked real nice but it’s more like an open bar than an actual speak easy. It was very crowded so we took a pass. Overall great experience.

    My family and I had an outstanding time celebrating my graduation from a certificate program at Suffolk University last night. My family and I were incredibly impressed with our waiter. I believe his name is Kevin. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. My aunt who is very particular about her cosmopolitans thought Carrie Nations version was superb. It was so nice to laugh and celebrate with my family after a very long and exciting day. Can’t wait to come back!

    For a cocktail bar, the cocktail was not good at all. Was watery because they didn’t have large cocktail ice. The shrimp cocktail thing was gross.

    Great location and concept right near Boston Common. Prices are reasonable and the drinks are interesting and different. Great to have music in the dining room and the service was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt without rushing us. Great experience for us.
