Milano remains my favorite lunch spot outside of NY and Europe. You really can’t beat the food and service in DC. The staff is always unbelievably friendly and accommodating, but never familiar, which works well both ways. The ingredients, prep, and presentation never disappoint me. Thanks to the team there for being a bright spot when you’re in the mood for a lovely long lunch. Primo!

We had a wonderful experience at Cafe’ Milano. We make it a must stop every time that we visit DC. It never disappoints. The food was exceptional and the manager was attentive to our needs as we asked to be moved away from the terrace. Thank you!

Fantastic food….everything flavored perfectly. Everything we had was delicious. Staff trying very hard but it’s a large restaurant so some of the items came out very slowly. Overall, a fabulous meal!

We always have dinner at Cafe Milano whenever we are in DC however last evening may have been our last. The service was none existent. We understand that things are slow in the kitchen we were not in a rush however a waiter did not even ask if wanted a drink until we have been sitting at our table for almost 20 minutes, When that drink was gone and we were ready for a second we have to get up and ask someone to help us as our waiter was no where to be found. Very disappointing indeed. There are many new Italian restaurants in DC and I think it s time for us to find our new favorite. Too bad.

I have always had a wonderful time going to Cafe Milano. The atmosphere is lively, classic and popular! The food never a disappointments and the service exceptional for making you feel special! One of my favorite spots to lunch and for me The ONLY PLACE in DC.

Hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The service, headed by our server, Mustafa and his team was excellent. I used to frequently visit the restaurant 20 years ago but I can see it hasn’t lost his charm, the food is solid & the service is top notch.

The entrance is not fully wheelchair accessible unfortunately. There is a step that could really use a small ramp that we had we had some difficulty with. That said, the meal was very good. We sat on the front patio area on the left of the entrance on a beautiful evening. The patio was very well decorated. Service was very good.

Slow on the follow up for dessert. Server gave us dessert menu at 7pm and ignored us until 7:30. I gave up on the dessert and asked for the check and tipped accordingly. Apparently the couple on the next table over were more important than my son and I so I tipped accordingly.

It was overall an extremely disappointing experience. One of the servers spilled water into the a lobster dish that just was delivered to the table. Then two of the four pasta dishes that was delivered to the table were pretty much rare and undercooked. Would expect a lot more when you pay $41 a plate.

The service was ok, people was nice however we only got a round of water, bread was plain, put aside right after we arrived to the Cafe without anything else, no butter, now oliver, or Parmesan cheese, or else. I ordered a profiterole as a dessert, it was dry and a bit burnt. The risotto was ok, but a little plain, it did not have plenty of flavors or a good Taste as I thought it would be considering how expensive the restaurant is.

It was an ok experience. The place was packed which is not a bad thing but there wasn’t anything that was above average. The food was good not great and the service was the same. That being said, it seems to be a popular hangout spot where people in dc go to be seen.

Michelle was our server and she was amazing. Very attentive and had a good sense of humor! We ordered drinks at the bar before sitting down at our table and weren’t impressed. Would not order the dirty martini or Paloma again. We ordered a lot of food and loved everything except for the octopus appetizer and the broccoli rabe that came as a side. The ambiance outside was great so definitely recommend sitting outside. Great atmosphere for a business dinner.

We have enjoyed this restaurant previously and took friends from out of town for a special evening. Quite frankly we were disappointed this time. Our service was slow, the food quality was good as always but our order came out staggered. One of the desserts we ordered was so poor we did not even eat it and told our server but nothing was done.We have no problem paying this price point for a nice dinner however, this time we were disappointed and hope for better in the future.
