LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant! Not sure what happened with our open table online reservation but I made it for 6:30 (or so I thought) and when we got there they said they had us down for 6:00. It wasn't a problem and we had a great dinner. One small thing was that in the comment /special occasion box I noted that it was my wifes birthday. Usually for birthdays they do the Sangria chug or a free dessert or something but this night they didn't even acknowledge the occasion. Which, not a huge deal but just not what we a generally accustomed to.

I enjoy the food here, but it is extremely heavy. There just aren't enough light tapas. Most things are swimming in sauces. They are all very tasty but have high caloric value. I know As I age, I want to go out and fine dine without all of the heaviness that I get at Cafe Madrid!

We had been to Cafe Madrid before but sadly were disappointed this time. The service was inconsistent, noise level was loud, my chicken marsala was bland and the chicken was tough. My husbands paella was good not great. Overall, not really worth the money we paid.

This place is far from anything close to authentic Spanish food. Tapas are ok, good choices, but questionable. For example chicken croquettes v ham? Entrees are not Spanish and tailored to some type of fine dining experience.. This place doesn't even carry jamon de belotta. They said the pork special was Spanish pork, it was not, just standard USA stuff. This place would not thrive in any other market other than slcs mediocre dining culture. Dining room is stuffy. Will not come back.

Haven't been here for a couple of years and sorry to say it was disappointing. First, the carpet is simply disgusting. Replace it. We were going to have dinner, but the tapas were just fair and we decided to stop there. And we felt they were overpriced. We did enjoy the host/server, very pleasant.

Great menu. Extensive wine list. Friendly, experienced knowledgeable staff. High-end prices but you get what you pay for. This is Spanish cuisine, not Mexican. There’s a big difference. Todd and Gabby seem committed to making a special enjoyable occasion for all their guests.

We had a memorable anniversary dinner. Lovely to have rose petals strewn on our table. Everything was exquisite. The Gazpacho was terrific, had a nice kick. Usually have usually dined there in the fall and winter - nice to visit it in summer. We loved the sangria - so refreshing.

We just discovered Cafe Madrid has brunch and it was excellent!! Food and service. Diego was awesome. We sat outside on the gorgeous patio donut was very quiet. A perfect way to catch up with my friends!!

My husband and I went to Café Madrid for our 20th wedding anniversary. They made the experience so lovely. They were rose petals on the table and a nice quiet spot. They treated us so well I would recommend it to anyone.

We had patatas bravas and paella and a dish with lamb as the entree and mashed potatoes on the side. We loved every bite especially the lamb and even down to the rolls. I spent around 100 before tip, but it was absolutely a treat and well worth it.

Absolutely delightful evening; service provided by Diego and others was first-rate; food was very, very good and portion sizes of tapas were larger than expected; did not have an entree but will next time. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxed. I had not been to this location since they moved from 3900 So over a decade ago. I certainly won't wait that long for a next time. A gem of a restaurant.

Food was nice, caprese salad has blah tomato’s but sprouts were great. Octopus was not available which is what we really wanted to try. Cannot understand how the carpet in the dining room is so filthy… not a few spots of something but big dark stains - put me off. They should get it cleaned or put new in.

We did the tapas with a Pellegrino sparkling water. They kept the food coming out at a steady pace, so we weren’t piled up with plates. The food was a great temperature, and really good. The servers were really attentive and friendly. We had a great experience, and will definitely come back for the paella!

My husband, daughter, son in-law and I enjoyed an amazing evening at Cafe Madrid. The tapas, seafood paella and desserts were wonderful and delicious. Our server, Evan was friendly and attentive. We are already checking our calendars for our next visit!
