Bud & Marilyn's
Went for restaurant week. Worth it! The food and drinks were amazing. Definitely will be going back!
Amazing service, creative menu, I took every suggesting from our server and was so pleased- we will return!
Great food. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing! Fried chicken was better than home made. The portions were large, not like other CC restaurants. Would def recommend and return!
The food was absolutely amazing. It was restaurant week and we weren’t expecting the serving sizes to be as big as they were. Great time with friends.
I have been at Bud and Marilyn's at Philadelphia International Airport but had never experienced the fried chicken! It was great! Love the food!!
Dinner for 4 for Restaurant Week. Tremendous value. The menu had a wide variety of choices, and the food was delicious. Service was friendly and prompt. Very noisy, but we could still hear each other ... barely. An excellent restaurant.
Went during restaurant week and will definitely go back. Had the butternut squash and coconut milk soup (delicious), the pork chop with cheddar grits (best pork chop I've ever had) and the blood orange sorbet (seemed more like a summer dessert but I don't like bread pudding). The service was prompt and friendly. Staff, other than our waitress, stopped by to see if we needed anything and to clear the table. My only complaint was that we were seated near the door and you could feel the cold breeze wherever it opened. Overall, very happy and can't wait to try it again!
The music playlist is the bomb!!! And thanks for making sure I was never out of ginger ale.
It was wonderful!
First time there and everything was wonderful - will definitely make an effort to get back there. Our server, David B, added to the experience. He was personable, knowledgeable and helpful.
I love restaurant week with that being said it gives me the opportunity to try new and different places and Bud and Marilyn was one of them. Everything was great from beginning to end. The Nashville hots are my favorite along with the cabbage and apple salad. I will be going back again very very soon !
Continues to be my favorite restaurant for a pre-performance dinner. Relaxed atmosphere, great food and outstanding service.
Service and good were great. Our bill was high due to liquor, they get you everytime!!! Actually our bill was high because the gratuity had been added in and the waitress didn't tell us that was the policy for tables of 5 or more. Not knowing that we left a tip and the waitress never said anything, not even thank you. How rude, they lost 5 future customers.
We had a great dining experience at the restaurant. Server was attentive and meal was delivered quick but didn’t feel rushed.
As usual, B&M food was good. But our server, Harry, made everything seem special
Restaurant week for lunch.
First time there and it was very nice. Service was fantastic.
The fried chicken was superb and this was a wonderful treat.
First visit ...fabulous food & service can’t wait 2 explore another Turney & Safran Venture!!!!
Incredibly loud, incredibly slow service (though the food was quite good)
Delicious, creative, fun! A great morning out. Varied menus.
Great food and service.
This was an amazing brunch spot!! We arrived a bit before our reservation and with a line out the door, we were hesitant. Our hostess welcomed us and sat us promptly! Absolutely the best service!
Our server was wonderful & attentive (Harry). The food was simply delicious and perfectly prepared!! Amazing menu choices! Loved the menu and had many options to pick from! Drinks...👍🏼.
The decor in restaurant is awesomely vintage!! The bookshelf by restrooms with true vintage items was a surprise that we were thrilled to see! Can’t wait to return!!
Always good at Bud & Marilyns! Arrived early for our reservation and were immediately sat, despite the busy restaurant. We had the cheese board, Cobb salad, stroganoff, and chocolate peanut butter cake- all were excellent. I’ve been here a million times, but brought an out of town friend for the first time and she loved it too!
I would make sure and let them know that the menu is more extensive during lunch. Dinner menu ala carte. Can't use full amount on gift cards, they want to use a portion for tips. It was an experience. Would go again, but would try lunch time.
Very quick service, good food & great cocktails!
Down home cooking is what you are looking for, this is the place. From Fried Chicken to honey biscuits and juicy burgers, look no further. Came here with a group of 11 and each individual raved about their meal. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Place is small but makes up with great food and service. On our list of repeats to return again. Thank you, Bud & Marilyn's!
Chicken was excellent
This place is probably one of the busiest places that I've ever visited! We had 2 o'clock reservations and tried to come earlier but that was a no go. That's fine, we were sat by 2:00 pm. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by Sara who took our beverage and food orders.
Sara was very pleasant and made sure we were taken care of.
Our food came out in a very good amount of time considering how busy they were. I ordered the Marilyn's Fried Chicken Bucket as well as 2 of my cousins and my vegetarian cousin order the Veggie Tofu Hash.
We were all delightfully pleased with our food orders. I especially enjoyed the french fries. They were very good.
The only hardship with this place was parking. Parking was extremely extremely extremely difficult. Took at least 30 minutes to locate street parking. They have street parking, and then a parking lot directly next door, but is $13 for the 1st hour and $25 after. That's ridiculous. My food cost including the beverage and tip was not even 20' dollars!
I would more than likely return on a better weathered day so I can walk from where I'm staying and leave my car parked. That would definitely make the visit a little more delightful and easier to get through.
Went for Sunday Brunch. The menu selection is very good with many different items. Not just your bacon and eggs. The shareable sticky bun is a must have to get things started. What ever you choose it will be great. The pancakes were very fluffy.
Birthday brunch, before a concert. Our guests were a little late but the host & hostess were gracious. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Food was terrific. It was a great way to celebrate. Thank you!
I love Bud and Marilyn's for any occasion, any meal. But especially brunch. The food comes fast and servings are large. Everything is very high quality. Get a reservation or you'll wait forever. Get an early reservation and you're better off.
Loved the food... the kale and Brussel sprout salad and the Nashville hot buns were amazing!!
Excellent meal and great service
Everything was wonderful, except the noise level; it was too loud.
Along the 13th Street restaurant row, this place covers the agenda so, so well. Being a fried chicken fan in search of something up here in Philly to rival the stuff that was available in so many places back in Tennessee, it was that quest that got me into a seat at the back counter on my first visit. Mission accomplished. Lunch, dinner at the spot are great... But what has drawn us back more often are the great breakfast offerings. Hey, B&M's is in the midst of a Philly breakfast Trinity, with Green Eggs across the street and Winkel a block away. Love Winkel... never have been to Green Eggs (not a fan of 20+ minute, or longer, wait times - what did Yogi Berra say, "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too busy,"). I'll take Bud & Marilyn's excellent breakfast option... Oh, and that fried chicken is available at breakfast as well.
The hummus and especially the sourdough bread with it were incredibly tasty.
The service was wonderful and menu creative. We really enjoyed the pierogis and apple slaw.
Great service, great food!
