   We dined with friends at Buckheads on a Wednesday evening and had a terrific experience. We started with an appetizer of escargot, which was wonderful with the garlic butter in which it was served (excellent dipping sauce for bread too!). I chose the prime ribeye and my wife chose the halibut fish of the day, and we shared dishes for a do-it-yourself surf and turf. What a tasty combination! Then dinner ended with pecan pie a la mode. The food was absolutely stellar and I'd vote for Buckheads as the #1 steakhouse in RVA. While Buckheads has an extensive wine list, we appreciated the fact that we could bring some of our own special bottles for a small corking fee. I would recommend Buckheads to anyone looking for a superior steakhouse experience with an added bonus of being a 100% local establishment. We will be back!

   From start to finished the experience was first class! We were celebrating my son getting his Masters Degree with family and friends. Paul was phenomenal (we always get him)! From the wine to appetizers to the main course, Paul and his staff were very attentive, funny and always making sure we had everything we needed! Thanks so much for making this a very memorable experience! 5 STARS !!!!!

   This is my second consecutive trip where the Cowboy ribeye was full of tendon. Cooked very well but very disappointing for a $52 entree. Grilled Halibut was excellent, service from the staff was excellent but the quality of the steaks are certainly below what you would expect in this price range. Will not go back for steak.

    Overall it was a very nice dining experience. Service was great. We had a little problem with a dirty wine glass, but our waiter promptly took care of it. Definitely get the filet. Ribeye was good, but the filet was better. And I don't know what they put on those carrots in the mixed veggies, but they were delicious! Also we had to ask for bread. Don't know if that's a normal thing or not.

    The service at Buckhead’s from entry to exit was wonderful. Food was phenomenal and Greg did a great a job waiting on my party. His suggested wine pairing was excellent! Highly recommend this restaurant, it truly is one of a kind.

    As always the service was impeccable - the Escargot appetizer was beyond amazing. I like my steak very rare and the Filet was prepared to perfection. No wonder this restaurant remains my favorite in Richmond for special occasions.

    I had not been to Buckheads in many years so was very excited to visit again as I was craving a good steak! This turned out to be one of the best meals I have EVER had. From cocktails to dessert, everything was absolutely perfect. I ordered the ribeye which still makes my mouth water every time I think about it. The service was superb and our waiter was very attentive without being overly obtrusive. I cannot wait to dine at Buckheads again.

    Buckheads is my favorite local fine-dining restaurant. The menu options are excellent; the wine selection is exemplary; and the ambiance is divine. The food was prepared and presented perfectly, and our cocktails were delicious. Obviously, such excellence comes at a price, so it is quite costly. However, if price isn't a concern, I highly recommend Buckheads over any other fine-dining establishment.

    The steak- 11oz Filet was not as good as the one I had 3 weeks ago. The steak I had with this dining was fair. The taste and heat was not as good. I ordered medium on steak. The mixes vegetables were fair and not as good as last dining. The bread pudding was not good at all. It was to dry, over baked when it was cooked. I will be back. I understand how having the right amount of people can make a difference along with the right personal.

    Buckheads came well recommended but I suspect it’s mostly based on reputation. 3 of us had a 530pm reservation on a Wednesday but still got the worst seat in the house, at the crossroads of the kitchen and some back rooms. Food was good not great: I had a $55 11oz filet which was well cooked but dry and chewy; I’ve had better $40 filets. Service was good, but getting jostled a dozen or so times throughout the meal (mostly by the staff) was less than desirable. It also took way too long to get main courses, maybe an hour? Hard to tell, but we weren’t able to leave until almost 830 hacking arrived at 530, and it’s not like we took extraordinary amounts of time to order courses. Considering the bill was $375 with tip for 3 people, overall experience was average at best.

    First time at Buckheads and will be back again. Huge wine selection. French onion soup very good. My steak was overcooked but they immediately recognized and brought out a new cooked correctly. Their “famous” potato cake was underwhelming and chunky and starchy. Would have better if whipped with crunchy outside. Husbands filet cooked perfectly. Nice that entrees come with salad, veggie and potato. Looking forward to another meal there
