Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina - Miami
A bit pricey for what you get. Not enough wait staff. Restaurants in this price range pride themselves on food and service. This restaurant was lacking in both areas. The waiters were running around trying to service as many patrons as possible. Very noisy. There are many steakhouses in South Florida that are far superior. Overall, not worth the money.
With a reservation it took more than 20 minutes to get seated. Not sure why when there were a number of empty tables. Other than that the service was very good.
We had reservations, yet we waited 20 min. for the table. Restaurant was very noisy. I ordered a main course with side order of mushrooms, but the waiter forgot the side order. I finished the main course before the side order came. After the main courses were served, nobody checked on us to ask us about the food. We had to ask 3 times for salt, which was not on the table. Overall - the worst steak house I have been to in 30 years living in the US. Far below quality of steak houses in New York.
Fabulous!!!! Great food and service
The food was very good and the veal chop I had, extraordinary. Our server was friendly and very nice.
I have two minor criticisms on the service. The server was not responsive to a request for pepper
for our Caesar salads and after a significant period of time I had to hail down an assistant server
to bring it. The same thing happened again later when my companion asked for salt. Also, I had a cocktail before we ordered and a glass of wine with my veal chop. The server on 2 occasions asked me if I wanted another glass and each time I said no. He shouldn't have asked after the first refusal. It can across as pushy.
we loved the place and ambiace. Pricey but great flavors
It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything was perfect. From the waitstaff to the food to the ambiance, we were completely delighted. This is inside the Marriott at Turnberry Isle. Ritzy comfort, as they advertise, is completely true!
It was amazing! Excellent attention to detail and even the chefs came out to greet us
My wife and I were celebrating her retirement so we went to Bourbon Steak as our "go to" place for special occasions. We decided to try something different than their usual great steaks. We shared the seafood platter which is piled high with shrimp, lobster and crab. There are usually oysters but we substituted additional lobster. Frankly it was enough to serve as a dinner. But we then moved on to share the Lobster Pot Pie. A fabulous take on the pot pie which is prepared tableside. Huge chunks of lobster and seasonal vegetables. Again sharing was more than enough for the two of us. A few martinis and a glass of wine and we were set. While prices are on the high side the quality of the food, the size of the portions and the great service make this a perfect place for sharing a special night.
We go to Bourbon Steak fairly often and we always enjoy our meals. This time, we brought friends who had never been there and they loved it.
Bourbon Steak consistently delivers phenomenal dining experiences with A1 Hospitality and this night was no different! Had an amazing time with Nick in the lounge area. He recommended a Madeira to pair with dessert which was outstanding, as well as a Rosso di Montalcino with the Rack of Lamb and seared Foie Gras which was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
The hotel just finished its renovation from an Autograph Collection to a JW Marriott and it looks stunning. I recommend that you visit the brand new lobby bar for an aperitif and then head to Bourbon for dinner!
First the staff was very professional and friendly - Restaurant it self was pleasant but a bit noisy - But expected for New Years Eve. When it came to food the value was horrible and food was - I hate to say but not worthy I would compare it to Longhorn Steak house. The entire presentation sucked ! It was the worst I have had and I am disgusted that I had to pay for it. Fist and last time
The best Porterhouse steak in town
Siempre que hemos comido ahí...salimos muy contentos..
Amazing as always!!!
Service excellent from the valets to the servers and hostesses! Great steaks and desserts!
Very fancy and nice looking place. Menu has not many options. Our chicken seemed a bit undercooked but it tasted just fine.
Cesar the bartender was outstanding!! Amazing mixologist!!
Excelente servicio y ambiente ameno y tranquilo, lugar recomendable para una ocasión especial , Romántica o de negocios.
Calidad y elegancia
We went to celebrate 2 special birthdays. The food and service were poor to fair. Place seemed old and worn out. Expensive with no vibe. Poorly dressed clientele. Nothing special.
Lovely ambience. Trendy. Food was good not outstanding. Pricey wines service excellent
Very disappointed in the drink menu and bartenders this time around. The restaurant offers an amazing array of liquor but a ridiculously limited cocktail menu compared to past visits. When we asked about several drinks we had enjoyed during past visits and asked for similar ideas we got suggestions like “ how about a Moscow Mule”? I don’t mind paying for quality but a $16 a drink, A bit more creativity and skill would have been welcomed.
A quick note on tartare: they offer beef and tuna. The beef was on point, simple but balanced and delicious. The tuna... not so much. It was very nice quality fish but horribly overwhelmed by garlic and pine nuts. Stay with the beef or order your tuna sashimi style.
Very disappointing, the hostess at the door was MIA for 10 minutes, when she arrived she barely spoke, she was texting and oblivious to the guests. We decide to wait for our guests at the bar. The bar counter was filthy, the bartender was boarder rude, the Martini poorly done, first impression was definitely bad, we were never offered anything else while at the bar.
Once our guests arrived, we were taken to table on the far left of the restaurant near the window, sad table & very odd place for a table of 6, the food was OK, that too was disappointing.
The waiters kept filling up the wine glasses, contently without asking if we wanted more. The food was OK and overpriced, this is not a restaurant that I would recommend, sadly.
Amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure your experience is memorable.
The steak was awsome, tender and very tasty. All the side orders were amazing. We loved the cocktails. The service was very good, people were nice and the ambiance was nice. Was a pretty dining night.
Had reservations for 9:30 pm & were seated at 10:00. No one was waiting outside. After being seated at 10:00 waited 10 - 15 minutes for waitress. After all the wait, my husband’ $95 steak was burned outside. Steak and mushrooms lacked a little bit of seasoning or salt.
Parents visit from NYC.
Excellent. Even better than when it first opened! Manager has Bourbon Steak running like a top notch NYC restaurant.
Superb in every way!!! Finest steakhouse on par with Prime 112!!! We ordered Alaskan King Crab legs, tuna tartar, ribeye and porterhouse. Even the sides and desserts were outstanding.
Enjoying a wonderful dinner with my husband, daughter and granddaughters.
Second time eating here and it was amazing! The free fries are just everything. Totally better idea then having bread. I ordered seconds of the fries could barely eat them. We got bone in delmonico for him and for me I got 8oz filet w side of Mac and cheese. Heaven the Mac and cheese we got w no broccoli and it was so so good. The waitress was so nice to us, so accommodating. The glass of wine was expensive but the pour was huge like two glasses in one I usually drink 2 glasses and could barely finish this one. Overall one of our top steak houses. We can’t wait to go back!
Always great this restaurant, one of the best in Miami but ....too much noise though, the acoustics are very bad. The only fault was the service (they brought the two appetizers together with their entree and two of our appetizers: you do not!) And the presentation of the turkey: a messy mess and really bad look ....but luckily good!
Known upscale location that does not disappoint. Not cheap, not meant to be.
As expected from any Michael Mina restaurant...Perfect!!!
The food was just bad. Over cooked meat shouldn’t even be a thing at a place like this. Do yourself a favor and have dinner somewhere else. The service also just wasn’t where it should be for a place like this. When a filet is $50 a la carte, the service and the food should be pristine. Plain and simple, it’s not.
Traveling back to NY for the holidays, decided to have dinner on our last night in town. One of the very best meals in recent memory. The drinks were perfect with my martini having hand stuffed blue-cheese olives. The Tuna Sashimi was super fresh and after a few french fries had the best grilled salmon I can remember. Even the broccoli was perfectly prepared. After splitting a Key Lime pie with Cappuccinos, went home very happy campers. Definitely special occasion stuff as Bourbon is not cheap, but great to come and feel special once in awhile. Never a disappointment. And our waitress T was a gem.
Food and service were impecable everyone was accomodating to our needs and made sure we all had a great experience
It’s Bourbon Steakhouse ... as good as ever.
No comments on food, drinks and service. Always a wonderful place to stay.
This time they made a mistake when I ordered a wine. And .... ladies and gents .... they didn’t charge the wine at all afterwards.
Team Bourbon‘s ... thanks at all I appreciate what you’re doing.
See you next time.
