The initial thought when my party was seated was this isn’t a fun Vegas restaurant. We were seated downstairs in what felt like a cave. We picked this place because we had a show at Mandalay Bay that night and I wouldn’t recommend it when there are so many other better places in Vegas to go. At first our waitress seemed very helpful with explaining the menu and making some alternation to our order but when the food came out it was the furthest from what we talked about and ordered. Didn’t complain and just ate it but no checking back in to see how things were. I had ordered sour cream but never came even when we asked for it a second time. Then the bill came and the Cadillac margarita that was ordered and the waitress asked if we wanted to make that a double came at the price of two drinks and was in a small glass. So making a drink a double is truly double in cost. A small 34 dollar margarita. When asking the waitress why a double was double the cost which is not typical in any other experience I ever had Vegas or not she just shrugged her shoulders and said that’s what it is.

I travel to Las Vegas frequently and I must say Border Grille has the best food I’ve had on The Strip by far. The flavors are beyond anything I’ve experienced on The Strip where most things are bland and taste the same. Phenomenal Service to boot.

"Two hot tamales" could do better, at least food wise. I got Seafood Molcajete, nice presentation, but the gravy was grainy, like with a spoon of sand in it, which happens when they didn't rinse clams and mussels. It was served with a huge portion of dull looking rice. My husband ordered Chicken poblano enchiladas, also looking good, but they arrived without any rice and beans which are expected in the Mexican restaurants. So I gave him my rice and we had to ask for the beans separately. Server was good, attentive and efficient. But there were another guy, probably some type of floor manager, who was frantically running around. We arrived half an hour before our reservation time and decided to have a drink at the bar, but we even didn't make to the bar as this guy told us " get check in" with the hostess (which we already did). Annoying part of it that he wasn't even try to listen to us, just pulled us out. Overall - pretty mediocre experience with food and the restaurant.

The food was pretty yummy but the experience was sub par. The service was very slow and it wasn’t busy at all, at least outside on the patio. There were two other tables that had issues as well. One party got up to say something and the other group just decided to leave. Overall, I hope it was just a bad night because the food is good

Expensive for the quality of the food served. Below average at best, uncomfortable chairs, and not the typical high end restaurant surroundings you’d normally find in Vegas casinos. Bartender made my martini ‘dirty’ and I asked for a replacement which they did without any issues. But they charged me for both!! My wife’s house red wine was supposed to be $10 but we were charged $16. I asked for a few extra tortillas for my braised pork and they charged for those too! Our server was excellent and gracious but we’d never go back or recommend. Checkout is by portable electronic payment gizmo you handle at the table so i didn’t see these ridiculous charges until after payment and we looked at the receipt while walking back to the room. Lesson learned.

The food was good, but not outstanding. I can only speak for the short rib enchilada and street tacos. The Cadillac Margarita was average. Many places beat the quality for the same price. The sweet corn tamale was very good.

This was my first time visiting Border Grill. I found the food to be very good but very small portions. I order the steak which was delicious. The best part about this restaurant was the value price. It was very reasonably priced. I would visit this restaurant again.

We were seated at 1:00, our first food didn’t come until 1:45. There were tables that were sat after us that finished their meal before we got our first plate. Our server didn’t really care, he seemed defeated. When our food did land forty five minutes after we got there, the eggs were cold and the toast was burnt. One bite and we were out of there. For a $45 all you can eat, you should be able to eat something in a reasonable time. We left. It was awful. Also our server looked like he was the president of his high schools young republicans club.

Prime rib tacos were fabulous as were the blood orange margaritas. Got a little chilly once the sun went down. Asked them to turn on the overhead heaters which made the rest of the meal enjoyable.

Went for weekend brunch. Food was very good as usual, but service was horribly slow. Waited for over 20 minutes before even a drink order was taken. Have been a number of times before and never had such slow service, sad to have such a poor experience at what is usually one of our favorite places in Vegas.

We chose the Border Grill because it was close to the Cirque du Soleil show at Mandalay Bay. We were very pleased with the meal. I had 3 enchiladas (sea food, tofu and rib). It was very creative and delicious. I would go back.

Food was decent but really overpriced, even for a hotel. I had a blood orange margarita. It was terrible and it didn’t look like anything I ever saw. It looked like a glass of fruit punch and it was served in a pint glass. I’ll try to avoid this place. Nothing special and worse than many Mexican restaurants in town.

Requested no cilantro from waiter. Was told they could accommodate. Guacamole and entree loaded with cilantro. Entree did not specify cilantro however other entrees specifically called it out in description. Disappointing. If you can’t accommodate a request just say so.

We had the chips with guacamole, Border ceviche, brisket taquitos, and Yucatan pork. And margaritas for drinks. The ceviche was served with thinly sliced crisp plantain and was seasoned just right. The beef in the taquitos was tender, and accompanied by crispy slaw that gave it a nice crunch. The Yucatan pork was falling apart flavourful and the pickled onions cut through the richness. Our server gave us good info and paid just the right amount of attention. Would definitely go back.

Server was attentive but kitchen lost one our orders. Some of the dishes were just warm. Poached egg was closer to hard boiled. Long wait between orders (we had endless brunch). Was not able to have one of speciality lattes due to running out. Manager did speak to us and reduce our bill by $20, though did not feel this was enough. It did not feel like unlimited brunch. It was a shame as some of the food was excellent but some just mediocre.
