Great place right by Green Park, perfect location. We had a thoroughly good evening, full of Italian charm. The sommelier was very knowledgeable indeed and helped us make an excellent choice to accompany our meal.
Great Italian! High quality food and well valued. My guests and I really enjoyed the evening and it is a great spot for casual entertaining. The Tagliatelle I had was delicious, and the tiramisu is just divine. Always leave room for dessert here
Brilliant restaurant and ambiance is lovely. We would recommend the restaurant, it is really beautiful and stylish!
My wife and I had a wonderful evening here on Monday; we thoroughly enjoyed dinner and stayed in the bar area for a drink afterwards. The staff are very welcoming and kind.
We enjoyed all of our meal, and shared a delicious seabass which was beautifully presented. I also have to mention the cheese board was the star of the meal and the perfect finale.
Wonderful food, helpful and nice staff!
I keep returning to Bocconcino to host guests with good reason. The service is well timed and friendly. 1st class and very notable wine list.
I love the comfortable ambiance here - An excellent lunch with my daughter after shopping around town. The restaurant is very welcoming and the staff were accommodating. We had a lovely meal sharing a few starters and delicious pizza. I would highly recommend the burrata and beef tartare, and the pizza Bocconcino was an excellent suggestion from their team. The hostess was friendly and helped us with directions when we were leaving, really all the staff went above and beyond! Will be back when I am next in the area
Simply delicious! They have a wide selection of choice on their menu and staff are very knowledgeable to assist with any questions and helped make an excellent choice, cooked to perfection also. Overall a really superb meal.
I booked a table for a business meeting with my colleague and we both had an excellent lunch. The service was friendly yet discreet to allow us to have privacy, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend ! The atmosphere was relaxed and very enjoyable, will be back soon
Overpriced. They try a little too hard to be fancy. Stay away from the squid ink pasta.
Lovely food & service. Was quite pricey, especially for drinks. But overall a lovely experience.
We had heard a lot about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Having no problems with Open Table reservations for a Friday night should have been my first clue. The restaurant itself looks beautiful as you walk in. However once seated it becomes uncomfortable as the tables are too tall for the chairs and therefore everyone looks like a small child trying to reach the table. Add to that the music was very loud and horrible (late 90s early 2000s sappy love songs.) The staff was friendly enough but at one point our wait person put a dirty plate that she had been carrying from another table down in the middle of our cramped and way too tall table so she could better manage to clear our appetizer plates. The wine, while good was completely overpriced at £120 (and one of the cheapest bottles on the menu). The food, too, was overpriced for its mediocre quality (my husband's veal milanese was soaked in oil and flavorless while my tagliatta was 40% fat and gristle.) The evening ended when after declining desert and in the middle of paying the overpriced check the wait staff brought out a birthday dessert (not anyone's birthday at our table.) We will not go back and will not recommend to friends. The only positive was that we found a new wine we like.
Good food. Decent price for Mayfair.
Good people serving, although messy and confusing.
Absolutely amazing! Would most definitely reccomend! Food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly! Just loved the whole experience!
Nice but being unfortunate enough to have next table a group of girls just taking pictures all time and the team of the restaurant standing behind them stopping people in the hall to allow them to take picture. I though that’s pretty sad.
Absolutely horrible. Russian private party in upstairs room with booming music ruined the evening. On top of that the food was all from cans. Nothing was fresh. This restaurant is a ridiculously expensive farce pretending to be an Italian restaurant. Honestly the best part of the entire meal was the bread. Enough said. Do not go there and thank me for this good advice.
Massive party going on and we were not told about it when booking - quite annoying as it is lovely place but way to noisy
Food was lovely. Would have been nice to have a bit of a gap between entree and main meal. Plates were cleared and next meal places in front of you.
Great food. Poor service - bad attitude.
Locale accogliente, qualità del cibo ottima, carta dei vini con prezzi sproporzionati . Siamo stati molto bene ma il prezzo è troppo caro per l’offerta.
Came here on recommendation of a good friend and has to be said; it was tremendous! Shared a few starters and had delicious pizza after. Lovely bottle of Chardonnay which was adviced by our host. Only thing that was really annoying me was that the knifes of all of us werent sharp at all. I would def come again and would recommend it to friends.
The rudest staff, overpriced wine beyond comprehension and pretty average food. Waste of time and money.
Superb food. Superb service. Everything you wish for.
Food was very reasonable but did not match the price. The restaurant itself is very nicely done and only let down by an absolutely bizarre style of service and management which means that although there seems to be a plentiful supply of staff, you have to spend a few minutes every time you need attention and listen to the chorus of other diners shouting things like "am I going to get any dinner" across the restaurant.
The restaurant toilets and their habit of storing filthy dishes along the path to get to the toilets also adds to the general feeling that this is not quite at home in Mayfair and particularly not Berkeley street.
I always love visiting Bocconchino. Authentic and classical, while staying very up to date in a chic modern setting. The quality of the food and drink is outstanding, and I’d highly recommend a visit
Great selection of food and wine. Service is excellent.
Beautiful setting but poor food unless you go for a pizza. Overpriced, poor service and generally disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend.
Food was great, but the restaurant was let down by the service. The waiters were annoyingly obsessive in filling up our water glasses (desperate to make us buy more fizzy water), to the extent that at one point one glass was knocked over. Food was not served at the same time, with a salad arriving almost 5 minutes after the hot food was delivered.
This is a beautiful restaurant. However, the food and service was quite disappointing.
When we entered the building and we were taken to our seats, we asked if there was a cloakroom for coats and we were told to walk back to the entrance to hand them over. We weren't asked at the door if we would like to use the cloakroom and the staff didn't offer to take our coats for us at the table. Not what you expect of a place like this. I also had to ask multiple times for more drinks.
The quality of the food was good but I would have expected better for the price paid. I have had better seafood risotto in places half the price.
Good food, very nice restaurant in one of the best zone of London .. Mayfair!!
true Italian food!!
Simply delicious!!!! Amazing Italian food, best in London! Highly recommend it
So noisy place
The staff were very friendly , knowledgeable and professional. the décor and ambiance was 1st class.
The food was out of this world, some of the best I have ever eaten. Although lunch for 3 was fairly expensive that was the groups choice as we picked an excellent bottle of wine!!
Overall very good place to eat.
Wonderful friendly service. Busy lively ambiance and delicious food. We really enjoyed the evening.
Good location in between Piccadilly and Berkeley Square, Bocconcino has a great layout with the large area downstairs (viewable from the ground floor entrance) more suited to large groups with the tucked-away ground floor area more suited to smaller groups and small tables. The service was very good, great ambience. Just one thing - this was my second visit and this time my guest had a chair and I sat on the banquette which was very low in comparison to the table heights. I'm relatively tall (5'7") but I still needed to sit on 2 cushions to bring me up to the right height for dining.
If you like the food at Cecconis- you’ll like this - the service isn’t as good (not is the people watching) but a great Italian which is family friendly for a Sunday afternoon or a little more grown up for midweek - would go again
Sure the service can be improved
The best Italian restaurant in London I really recommend it. The food is delicious I love it.
Booked for my husband birthday.
Wasn’t impressed. My pasta was too chewy and husband rack of lamb was two very small lamb chops.
We also weren’t advised of specials.
My husband was presented with ice with a sparkler init and waiter sang. He was very embarrassed and ask them to stop singing.
Overall. Not great value and service from wait staff not great.
Certainly not an Italian style - more of a fast food / tourist / commercial type. Even bread has become a problem. Horrible speaker over our head. Definitely overcharged for that ambiance / service. Regret that we ve chosen that restaurant. Tonite we wnt to Cecconi's - exact an Italian restaurant.
Food was outstanding, however service was very poor. I was seated at lounge area so I can wait for my friend, but nobody came to me to offer a drink. I had to look for waiter attention, to be able order a drink while waiting for my friend. Once we were seated at the table to have a dinner, once again we had to ask for a waiter as we were left with menus for quite a while. I’ve ordered pasta with truffles, which was on the menu for 35 GBP, but waiteress advises that white is nicer, however she forgot to mention that it will cost 55 GBP not 35 as the one I selected from the menu. Nobody did a check back on the table if food was ok. It was disappointing experience.
