My filet was so tender and the taste was just fabulous!!! My entire meal was delicious. Our waiter was Kevin and he was awesome!! I highly recommend him and this restaurant. It was our first time and when in town we will go again.

Had a great time! Went back again because my wife says “they have the best Shrimp and Grits ever!” Chef made a special appetizer, steamed little neck clams, they were wonderful. Should put on the menu!

Service was fast and friendly. Shrimp and grits was outstanding! Our martinis were good. Key lime pie was a nice way to finish the meal. Our server was a very sweet and attentive girl named Kate. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It was a delightful experience!

My tilapia was the best I’ve ever eaten and my husband’s steak was delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly. You won’t regret this dining experience!

First time there and had to try the shrimp and grits. Never was a grit eater so was very skeptical about it considering it was the most expensive item on the lunch menu. Well it was very good and nothing like I remember grits being. So if your a grit eater I'm guessing you will love it! We will be back :)

Go! Fabulous riverfront location. Great ambiance and the food was amazing! The she-crab soup is awesome! I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was exceptional. Love the historical feel of the building and there’s great shopping at the riverfront. Also just the drive down the cobblestones to get there was an experience you shouldn’t miss!

We have tried so many places to dine downtown lately and we have been disappointed….that’s why we always come back to the Boars Head. Especially if we have out of town visitors etc. as we know we can expect excellent service and wonderful food. We have dined here for over 15 years and not once have we ever had a bad experience. Staff seem to stay around too so I think that’s always a good sign for a well run establishment. Try anything that involves their peach sauce/glaze…amazing! My son still votes Boars Head for the best steak in town!

We sat at a nice table near the window where we could see the river. My husband had the shrimp & Grits and I ordered the special which was Mahi Mahi/mashed potatoes. We liked everything. Our friends had the chicken piccata which was very good. The restaurant has a nice rustic ambiance with a pretty chandelier. We will return. Great food & good value.

This is a tourist trap. The food was terrible, no flavor in my crab stuffed shrimp dish and the “crab” part was mostly soggy bread, and the service not much better. My recommendation is to not eat by the river.

Amazing service and food! Made our last day in Savannah just a little bit more special. Our server was splendid, very attentive to all details. My boyfriend and I cannot forget the delicious food and the best stuffed shrimp yum. thank you for the extraordinary work.

We were a party of four and everything was excellent, from the oysters Rockefeller appetizer to our entre.es (bouillabaisse, shrimp and grits, and two orders of stuffed shrimp), and the to-die-for desserts (chocolate bread pudding, Savannah trifle, creme brulee, and Jack Daniels chocolate pecan pie). I have one small quibble: I had a gin and tonic, and the tonic water was flat but this is something that is quite common in restaurants with tonic water from a tank, so I'm not making a complaint

This place was amazing! Great atmosphere and fabulous service. I had the special which was salmon and my husband had the ribeye. The food was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. We enjoyed s nice bottle of Malbec from their wine list. To top it all off, the price was extremely economical.

Outstanding meal at Boar’s Head. The service was excellent and the meal was terrific. Our server recommended the shrimp and grits and boy it was delicious; my wife’s crab stuffed shrimp was equally as tasty.

Pros: great location and ambiance, friendly people, food is good enough. Cons: pricey, slow service, food is ONLY good enough. You’re paying twice as much as you should, but if it’s worth it for the location and decor, go for it.

Met friends passing through for dinner. Just a very enjoyable evening. Our server was very good, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the chicken picatta, while my wife had the fish special. The cocktails were excellent as well. The servings are generous, keep that in mind as you order starters and salads. Good beer and wine list as well.
