Everything else was good: Staff, service, ambience. Food was ok. I had the Surf & Turf. Soup was awesone, it was some kind of red base bisque with pieces of delicious roast duck (I think). Lobster was ok. Filet was ok. Shrimp was ok. Scallop was good. Didn’t eat the crab leg (wasn’t a crab leg; only a piece of it, the size of about 3 inches 😳). I would ask for mashed potato to be served on a separated plate. The way it was served spreadout / smeared on the plate with some of the other food on top of it was a mess. Asparagus was not good! Didn’t look fresh & the end part was chewy! Love Black and Blue Steakhouse. Love Valley View. Food was just so so last time I was there.

Black & Blue continues to deliver an exceptional dining experience. On this visit, I decided to try the duck, and it was outstanding—beautifully prepared, rich in flavor, and easily one of the most memorable dishes I’ve had there. Tome once again elevated the entire experience. His ability to describe each dish is impressive; he explains the flavors, preparation, and details in a way that makes every recommendation feel thoughtful and intentional. His knowledge of the menu is excellent, and he has a genuine talent for helping you choose something you might not normally order. The combination of refined food, great atmosphere, and Tome’s exceptional service is what keeps us coming back. He brings a level of professionalism and hospitality that truly complements the quality of the restaurant. Another excellent evening, and another recommendation from Tome that exceeded expectations.
