Went here on a limb for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was great! The food and the service were exceptional. I had the lobster ravioli which was basically on every table and it’s definitely a top 10 and he had the ribeye. The crab cake appetizer was good as well and all of the food was freshly cooked. Highly recommend

My friend and I wanted a quiet dinner in uptown Charlotte and Bernardin's was perfect for us. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. The food was outstanding and the ambience lovely. We felt we were in a European restaurant. The scallops were prepared perfectly. We will return!

First time for the 6 of us to eat at Bernardin's. It was very convenient for us to attend show at Knight Theater. Staff was very sensitive to our time constraints. Food was excellent - loved the many offerings of seafood.

Nice and quaint. Very intimate, food was delicious. We had the fillet mignon and surf and turf. Steaks were cooked to our liking and the lobster tail literally melted in your mouth. Will be returning!

Service was excellent. The Duck Liver Pate was quite good. Great brioche toast, cornichons, and pickled onions. The Filet Mignon was not a filet mignon. Touch and lots of gristle. I have many filets and this was really terrible.

Food and service was great as always. Had lunch here. Quality has been consistent for many years. It is a bit noisy, so for group larger than 4 you may have a tough time hearing each other.

Food was wonderful I had lobster ravioli which was very tasty and my husband had to 9oz surf and turf the steak literally melted in your mouth, ambience nice but to describe it better it’s like being in a large nicely decorated dining room

Overall the experience was great, however we were visiting from out of town to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were looking for some place romantic. Although the restaurant was not it lacked the romantic piece.

10/10 the food was great, service was impeccable, our waiter was the sweetest. You can tell the staff really enjoys working there. It was my husbands birthday and everyone we encountered acknowledged that it was impressive. Food portions are definitely worth the price. We will be returning soon.

The food was delicious but kinda pricey. I had the squid ink pasta with a very generous amount of seafood in the sauce. I also had the cool as a cucumber cocktail. It was perfect. Not too sweet but not sour either. My companions had the duck and salmon and they both said they were outstanding. Because of the raised ceilings it was loud, even thought there were 4 tables max at all times. This is a special occasion restaurant for sure.

Excellent dinner out with coworkers! We arrived a bit before opening but the staff was ready and accommodating. Everyone raved over their meals from shrimp and grits, goat cheese ravioli, filet, sea bass and ribeye special… we all loved every bite! Great service too. Everyone onsite was very attentive!

The restaurant is lovely inside. My friend and I both had the crab cake plate for lunch. The crab cakes were delicious, the seasoned french fries were too. The vegetables were cooked to perfection but had a little too much garlic on them for me. The service was prompt and pleasant. When I looked at the menu online,I was surprised by the reasonable prices which is why I chose Bernardin's for this birthday lunch. In summary, it was a great experience and a good value for the money spent. That's pretty rare in restaurants around Charlotte these days. I will definitely be back.

Bernardin’s was amazing! The elk paired nicely with the red wine. This is a very nice little restaurant that had a GREAT fine dining experience! My server made great recommendations for both the food and drink menu. Overall, wonderful experience!

Came here tonight for my birthday after seeing a few tik toks for places in Charlotte to try. Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment from the time we arrived until we left. Upon arrival we walk in and there’s a sign that reads “please wait to be seated” so no worries we waited and waited and waited, no one shows up to seat us for quite some time. Still not a big deal so after some time a lady greets us & we follow our waitress to a table in between two separate parties. One of the parties consisted of about 5 people so they had used the table the waitress was attempting to seat us at as a place for their jackets and other miscellaneous items. So instead of just seating us at another available table we wait as she urges them to clear the table for us to sit. Finally we’re seated and our waitress disappears. No water, no bread nothing for almost 20 minutes finally she comes back with waters and hurries off again. After about another 15 minutes she comes back to get our drink & appetizer orders. Another maybe 30 minutes goes by and she comes back with the drinks & appetizer and takes our entree orders. We both order the salmon and it took well over 30 minutes to receive if not longer in fact our reservation was for 7 and by the time we got our entrees the staff was taking the tablecloths off of the tables & preparing to shut the place down. Overall not a great experience the food took way too long to prepare, service was awful and the online menu from the website had items that were no longer apart of the menu at the restaurant. Unfortunately the entire experience was nothing I ever want to experience again.

Wonderful food and service. Simple and elegant setting. We had the squid ink seafood pasta, the duck, sea bass special, and scallops over risotto. All entrees were excellent. We celebrated a special occasion and they made it a memorable night. I loved the restaurant.
