We have dined at Beni Hana twice a year for the last 20 years on our kids birthdays. This was the worst service we have ever had. It took 30 minutes to get any food. Plates were never cleared so they stacked up in every open space. I complained to the manager. He took a percentage off the bill which was great but he told our waitress that we complained about service and she came back to the table mad and told us. Super awkward and a bad way to end a bad night. Also the place is filthy. The carpet is so greasy we slid across it.

Our waiter was extremely hard to understand. He spoke so fast and garbled. Our chef rushed through cooking dinner and skipped most of the fun things they do that we like to watch. Food was good.

This was my 2nd time at Benihana. I understand that it was Saturday night, but the service was lacking. Seeing our neighbor table who arrived at the same time we did get their dishes, in order, before we did. We all ordered the 5 course option. The chef came to prepare our main dishes before we were served soup and salad! We did not receive our hot green tea at the end of service. The wait staff seemed distracted and disorganized. Also, my husband used the restroom to find teens in there vaping Very disappointed with this visit..

We thought we were going to have a date night but instead got seated at a table with a bunch of kids celebrating their birthday party 🎈with the parents. A huge disappointment! 😞

The front hostess was rude when we entered to check in. The waitress was slow at serving and cleaning up the table, did not check on us, spilled soup on my daughter. We were seated with a couple while there to celebrate a birthday.I guess filling a table $$ is more important to the restaurant. It would have been nice if we had the option to not have strangers join our celebration. The chef was ok but not as energetic as other tables chefs.

My son found a fly in his soup. I had to track down the manager multiple times. My impression from the interaction is that he was dismissive and insincere in his apology. He didn’t offer to remove anything from the bill. When I asked he said he would get back to me. The bill didn’t have any deductions. I asked again and he removed a kids meal. Aside from the fly, the preparation of the food was mediocre. Its wasn’t cooked as requested. The steak was of poor quality. When a my daughter, who is 8, comments on the poor quality of the meat as well as it being cooked incorrectly, it’s worth mentioning.

I'm writing to express my disappointment with a recent lunch experience at one of your restaurants. I've always associated Benihana with an enjoyable dining experience, attentive service, and a certain level of hospitality. Unfortunately, my recent visit with my mother left me questioning what has happened to those standards. We were seated in the teppanyaki dining area alongside two other couples. From the beginning, the service was disorganized. Although our server was very pleasant, she incorrectly recorded several drink orders, requiring the bartender to personally visit our table to confirm what everyone had ordered. While inconvenient, that was relatively minor compared to what happened next. When our server returned with the drinks, a wine glass fell from her tray and shattered directly onto the teppanyaki cooking surface. Broken glass scattered across the cooktop, onto plates positioned around the cooking area, and along the surrounding edges. This was a serious food safety concern, and what happened afterward was particularly troubling. Although our server attempted to clean the cooking surface, visible pieces of glass remained on the surrounding plates and along the sides of the cooktop. Despite this, there was no immediate effort to relocate our party to another table. It was only after my mother, the other guests, and I collectively expressed our concerns that arrangements were made to move us. Frankly, I cannot understand why the decision to relocate us wasn't immediate. Broken glass around a food preparation surface presents an obvious risk, and guests should never have to advocate for their own safety in a situation like this. To make matters worse, we were instructed to carry our own drinks, soup, and salads to the replacement table. There was no coordinated effort to assist us, reset the dining experience, or acknowledge the significant disruption. Unfortunately, the service did not improve after we relocated. I hate writing reviews because everyone has a bad night. I had not been to Benihana in 25 years and I will not be back again for another 25 years. The food quality compared to price point is just not there. There are much better teppanyaki places with better ambiance, food quality and experience.
