   all appetizers and salads were very good, as per usual. However, unfortunately, the entre under-performed this time. I had the fish of the day, which was a hake, and it was supposed to come with a featured vegetable of the day (asparagus), and I added grilled cauliflower. unfortunately, the entrée was forgotten, and I had to remind two waiters twice to serve it. When I finally received it, it came solely with cauliflower, and only after I had already eaten the served entrée, fish with cauliflower, the asparagus came upon my renewed request. Also, while the fish was well cooked, it was a very small piece, not worthy of a entrée. It looked like an appetizer. So for the first time, alas, my experience with an an entrée and the service at Barrett’s was unsatisfactory. moreover, when I returned home, I received a reminder from OpenTable that I was noted as a no-show. That suggested to me that also the receptionist was overwhelmed with their job, because I had explicitly mentioned my name, and that I had a reservation via OpenTable, and requested to be marked as attending. I hope this is going to be corrected and I also hope that my next experience at Barrett’s will be more satisfactory.

   We had very nice dinner. However when I called that afternoon, the restaurant said their OpenTable was not working and they had no record of our reservation. Fortunately they were still able to accommodate us.

    A big A+ to our server Kate who helped one of our guests put together a tasty meal with no garlic or dairy (she is ALLERGIC to both!) We didn't know this ourselves so did not note any special requests when making the reservation. The food was absolutely delicious, as always, but it would be helpful if there were a few menu items without garlic or dairy - not uncommon allergies, just like gluten! Poor Kate was hard-pressed to accommodate our guest and other, less experienced or patient servers might not have been able to do so. Overall, though, thanks for a lovely pre-City event dinner close to home so we could avoid rush hour traffic. We'll be back (of course!) JoAnn Ruther (a.k.a. "Minerva Takes a Bite")

    We have been to Barrett's Grill a few times and I can truly say we have enjoyed it each time, our server/new friend Karlie was so delightful and attentive to us that I would love to have her take care of our party each time we visit, thanks again for all you did for my wife and me.

    Currently this restaurant is clicking on all cylinders. Food was at a surprisingly high level of quality and preparedness with competent, caring service. We arrived at 5:30PM and departed at 7:15pm. Restaurant was near full at our departure on a Saturday night. The only bad surprise was the charge for what was an excellent Manhattan Up with Maker's Mark. At $16 or $17 (can't remember exactly) it was, to me, priced $3 or $4 too high.

    Overall very good experience. Service was way, way above! Staff was simply great. It was Valentine’s Day so the place was a bit noisy and pretty tight seating. We enjoyed bacon wrapped scallops for appetizer Their crab corn chowder and tomato basil soups were very tasty. My wife ordered shrimp and grits and I had the crab cakes. The food was excellent. I thought the peach cobbler dessert left a bit to be desired. Server was great!!

    Poor tasting wine was quickly replaced without charge. Long periods when waitress disappeared—but she was very nice and apologized. No harm done. Was disappointed at absence of full steak menu which we were told was “Because of Valentines Day”. Altogether, a good time predominated despite the lapses.

    Poor servie. Our apps came an hour after we ordered. We asked for an extra heater,of which there were plenty, but we never got one. Everyone was nice and said yes to everything we asked, but no actual follow-through. We say on the heated porch and literally felt like we were an afterthought. The food was fine but not good enough to go back and chance a similar dining experience.

    We had reservations and were taken right to our table upon arrival. The waitress came right over bringing water and taking our drink order. We ordered mussels as an appetizer and the mussels were on the small size, but the broth was delicious. Adding the bread to the dish was brilliant as we used it to sop up the broth. My grouper was cooked just right - moist and tasty. My husband ordered the pasta and raved about the "kick"! All in all, a pleasant dinner in a lovely atmosphere.

    Appraiser of fried calamari over cooked and greasy and shrimp and cheese appraiser was swimming in oil ! Fresh fish of the day was drowning in salty . My Steak was very average at best ! Server I believe her name was Ally was the best thing about the experience . Had a better meal at the outback steak house for half the price and they are sub par at best.

    Lamb stew was absolutely delicious. Green tomatoes were a bit tough. But it is understandable since local sources for tomatoes are not abundant in January.

    Went with an old friend for brunch. The french toast was THE BEST I’ve ever had outside of making it at home. Our waitress was cute as a button and very attentive. Management stayed present and inquired twice about our experience. I eat here at least once a month. Never disappointed.

    What a wonderful cake cake and has to be one of the best in town and the prices were so reasonable. Have not been here for years and it’s so much better then it was in every way. I am already planning to go back soon.

    First time diner during Restaurant Week. We passed on the RW menu and each ordered the salmon entree. The entrees were very good. Grilled salmon and asparagus. Our appetizers were good as well; Brussel sprouts and fried green tomatoes. Would dine again. Our server; Kylie was very attentive.
