    This Original Spanish Tapas Bar is THE PLACE TO BE on Wednesday nights for outdoor live music, streetside dining and fun. Wednesdays from 8-11 PM. It has been rumored that the dancing has moved onto the street at times. The combination of small plates, great sangria, live music and people watching is well worth the visit here. BARcelona's Taps Bar is open until 1:30 AM every night but Sundays, when the bar closes down for the law at midnight.

                                                                                                      When we walked in I was leery. For the middle of Clayton, the interior is definitely low key. Not dirty or messy, but downscale. That was more than compensated for by the excellent service and tasty tapas. We ordered most of the menu, including all of their desserts and got out for less than $100 a couple. We all loved the place.

The rice was a little gummy and it had a lot of liquid. I’ve tasted much better paella. The other small plates we shared were very tasty. We sat outside and we ordered red sangria. It was very tasty but maybe when serving outside provide a separate pitcher of ice as the sangria became very watered down. The staff was awesome. Some of the best wait staff I’ve ever experienced.

Decided to come back after pandemic since we had good experience before. We ordered chicken croquettes, calamari, beef tapas and gazpacho soup and empanadas. Soup smelled sour and not fresh, I asked to take it back. Calamari were dry like a paper, beef was tough. Croquettes we’re ok and empanadas we’re just ok. Server was ok but not too welcoming. Never came to our table to check if we needed more water or anything else, or to see how food was. Very dry and not quality service. I would not go back for sure plus would not recommend it to anyone. It’s just high end of junk food.

Service was ok.. although they were not too busy. The beef Pinchot was like eating a piece of charcoal. We didn’t eat it. When it started to get busy, it did get quite loud...loud enough that I had to concentrate to hear the person across the table from me. Service was very friendly, but not super attentive. I'm usually pretty forgiving about service, given what the service industry has and still is dealing with, but it seemed like they were plenty well staffed.

The music was a vibe, the food was amazing and the tequila was on point- only thing they are missing is the new Freshie tequila seltzer. Can’t wait to get back!

                                                                                                      Food was excellent and our server was great with recommendations. Everything was brought promptly despite being a busy Saturday night. It’s a neat spot and we’ll definitely be back again.

                                                                                                      The menu is different and the food was a nice change. Some very unique dishes and all were very good. The pricing was fair and I would go back. Large menu to find something for everyone.

                                                                                                      This Original Spanish Tapas Bar is THE PLACE TO BE on Wednesday nights for outdoor live music, streetside dining and fun. Wednesdays from 8-11 PM. It has been rumored that the dancing has moved onto the street at times. The combination of small plates, great sangria, live music and people watching is well worth the visit here. BARcelona's Taps Bar is open until 1:30 AM every night but Sundays, when the bar closes down for the law at midnight.
