Pre play dinner with my elderly mom, we were at Founders Hall level, which would mean we had about20 stairs down. We were greeted by a friendly and very aware host, quickly taken down a service elevator. Wonderful truly my mum couldn't have made stairs. Then we were promptly seated, and had great service he assured us we would be able to order, eat and be at theater on time. fantastic meals, all served piping hot! And then we were escorted back up the elevator all the way to Booth Play House! Thank you for going quite beyond our expectations.

We were looking for something simple and not too heavy after a long drive and a somewhat late arrival (8:30pm). Aria’s was the perfect choice. Their pastas are made there fresh and the Cacio and Pepe preparation was perfect. Service was very good though a second drink from the bar was delayed a bit longer than it should have been. We would happily return here again if staying in Charlotte - perhaps we’ll have that chance on a future visit.

Filet was overdone, little flavor from the side item. We were stuck at a table upstairs in the walkway, not ideal. Waited a long time for drinks and we were rushed to pay.

Took 20 minute for someone to come to our table after we were seated. Took very long to get the check after several errors, charge the table next to me on my card. I have eaten there several times and will give the benefit, but every the manager seemed un- interested in my needs.

It was busy and so incredibly loud! It was not fun trying to talk to my husband and having to yell. Plus, they reconfigured our table after we sat. My husband was moved to my side so I was stuck looking straight at the people in front of me. Food was decent and reasonably priced.

Too loud. Too busy. Ceasar salad was basically lettuce and cheese. No dressing. Libster safrin paata had no safron taste and mostly pasta. Small amount of lobster. So over priced.

Menu has changed not for the good. The Bronzino fish too thin and small to really enjoy whipped potatoes too small to call a serving. Dessert was good not great for price. First disappointed from what it use to be.

I met with some former colleagues who had flown in from various places, having reserved the Chef's table facing the kitchen. While we have rarely met face to face, we are like family and this was the perfect place to gather. This was not just a business dinner at a restaurant. This had a feel like a family sharing a delicious, curated, rustic Italian meal. Everything was perfect and bits and bites were shared with everyone loving each item. The drink and food recommendations were well received, the service swift and not intrusive. This was an event and we all felt sated, food wise and emotionally. Aria delivered by just being Aria. It was a meal that we will all remember on multiple levels, and we appreciate the chefs and staff that made it happen!

Very disappointed. Remarkably poor experience on nearly all areas; service, Caesar salad had no taste, mussels were nearly dry and seemed to have been left standing in ambient room temperature, pitifully organized wine list. . . Really not worth going on. We’re done.

It could have been amazing. The food was good and our server was professional and pleasant. Room for improvement: 1) we had a table at the top of the stairs and while it was nice because we weren't shoulder to shoulder with others - it was like we were stuck at a table that was put there because there wasn't room anywhere else. It was really an awkward spot for a table; 2) Our server seemed too busy. While we had various people bringing food and asking if everything was okay... they didn't take the dishes away and the waiter asked if I wanted a glass of wine when I was on the last few bites of my meal. Fair - I could have asked for the glass of wine, but 3) we couldn't even hear ourselves think with the wedding that was going on in the room at the back of the restaurant. The music was booming on 11. What should have been a romantic evening with my husband was just a decent meal, but we didn't even stay to try the tiramisu (our favorite) - we hurried out as fast as we could. I recommend for lunch or on a non-weekend night - and ask for a table downstairs.
