Antico Posto, “The Old Spot”, is an intimate Italian Cafe and Wine Bar carefully hidden in Oakbrook Center Mall. The neighborhood restaurant boasts a warm, and inviting atmosphere combined with simple Italian comfort food. My friend was in the mood for good Italian food for her birthday so we decided to go here. I had been here a few years back and it was awesome. It still is! From the employees, to the breads with the gardenia/olive oil dipping, the wine selections and the main courses, everything was exceptional. I had the Gnocchi Bolognese. The sauce was delicious and the dumplings melted in your mouth. I normally take half of my food home, but I ate it all! Two people got the Angel Hair Pomodoro which was really good too. Highly recommend Chocolate Budino for dessert, very decadent. Although the prices are little on the high end, it was definitely worth every penny.

Outstanding in many ways, especially the delicious menu options and great service by Hector. Perfect wine choice as suggested by Hector when we asked. One of the best Caesar salads. The zucchini croccanti was delicious, as were our entrees - chicken francese. The birthday dessert is yummy - a chocolate flourless slice with whipped cream. We also ordered the pumpkin pecan gelato which was another level of goodness. Great meal all around!

Everything was perfect from the food,service, and overall experiance. The sparklers and music was a big hit. Talking with Mike was wonderful as well. Cant wait til next visit. We will tell friends.

This is a wonderful restaurant that my wife and I have been coming to for at least 20 years, and we expect to return many times in the future. But even an excellent restaurant can serve up a stinker every once in a while. I ordered a steak which was so excessively salted that there was absolutely no joy in eating it. Should have sent it back, but I hate to be one of those guys. In contrast, my wife's pasta dish was wonderful, and fortunately she wasn't hungry enough to eat it all. Restaurants in general use too much salt, and I really wish they would back off. But this steak was two standard deviations above the mean for saltiness.

Overall, food was good. We did not like the olive oil side dish that came with the fresh bread. It was olive oil with balsamic vinegar and like a jardiniere. Just serve olive oil and shredded parmesan. We also ordered a caesar salad and it came with arugula in addition to the romaine lettuce. No need to make either dish fancy! But the entrees were delicious. We were there for lunch on a Tuesday and it wasn't crowded. Would consider again if we're in the area.

The portions have gotten smaller, and unfortunately, the quality of the food is also not as good as it used to be. They add a 3% service charge because of rising costs, but you get smaller portions. This used to be our favorite go to place cause they were consistent in their food quality but not the same this time. My Angel Hair Pomodoro had about a quarter of the cheese on it that it used to very disappointed
