This is my favorite "go-to" restaurant - we take all of our visitors here and for our friends from Japan, they say "tastes just like home ... so oishi". And our mainland visitors get a kick out of eating pasta with chopsticks. Everyone is so impressed with rainbow salad too!

We had a reservation for 6:00 dinner, table for 4. We also had tickets at the diamond head theatre for 7:30, so we were on a bit of a time schedule. The server brought waters right away, and we ordered wine which came out less than 2 minutes after. The food was also fairly quick! Salads were DELICIOUS!! The raw potato salad was different and I’m glad we decided to try it. We got it with the shoyu dressing. The Caesar was super good and a little different as well- it had bacon and cheddar cheese! All 4 of us had pasta and it had me wishing one of us ordered pizza just so we could’ve tasted it. The pastas were excellent. I had the spicy eggplant and ground beef, and it came with a piece of garlic bread. Really good flavor. We were offered Parmesan cheese and chili flakes for our dishes, too. Next time we will be trying dessert as well! Definitely going back. We noticed happy hour ends at 6:00 so we just missed it, and I’d like to try timing it for that when we go.

Our server Tadd was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our luncheon there, although the cream sauce was kind of watery and not as flavorful as I remembered. Thank you for the birthday sundae for my son, whose birthday we were celebrating.

Angelo Pietro has really gone down in service and food flavor. Perhaps it is because the lone server was new and inexperienced, but inattention to the need of guests is not a good thing. There was only one other table with guests (a couple), and the server neglected to give us utensils to eat with and on. When our order of calamari came out, we were expecting small individual plates for each of the three of us. Spoons which are usually provided for spaghetti were not on the table. Fortunately, forks and napkins were on the table. We couldn't get the attention of the gal, since she would hide in the kitchen until the food was prepared to be served. The calamari, although crispy-looking, smelled greatly of oil. Perhaps the cook has also changed. The spaghetti was acceptable. The meal was enjoyment was mediocre.

I indicated the birthday celebration when booked reservation via Open Table but no acknowledgement of it. Food was not as tasty as they were before. The service was ok but their staffs were not too friendly and they did not look not too happy…. A little smile will go a long way…. Felt negative energy stepping into the restaurant.

Our favorite "Italian" restaurant (Japanese style) - including eating pasta with chopsticks! The food is excellent - the Siciliana dish with shoyu/garlic sauce is just onolicious - but then again, every dish served there is excellent. The rainbow salad (raw potato) is also just so onolicious. Highly recommend Angele Pietro's!

The restaurant was full (as much as social-distancing would allow), when we walked in. It's a good thing we had reservations. Now that we are into Tier 4, a lot more people are venturing out to dine----which is good. I decided to step "out of my box" and order something I had never tried before---the Chicken & Eryngii Mushroom with Yuzu-Kosho sauce spaghetti. It was very good, but still cannot beat my favorites of the Siciliana and Genovese spaghettis. Hubby was very pleased with their Meat Lover's pizza and amazingly couldn't finish the whole pizza by himself---a first. We will definitely be back soon. Hope we can get reservations for the next visit.
