   Hands down one of the best meals we have ever had. We are only in Savannah for 3 nights and made reservations to come back - only the 2nd time we have ever done that in all of our travels. Delicious wine & cocktails, amazing service and the food was perfection!

   We love good food and good wine. Alligator Soul definitely entertained us with both elements plus a great ambiance. The wild mushrooms salad was exceptional. We had amazing perfect taste of shrimp and grits and red bean rice with scallops, which was perfect combination of southern taste. We are abiding desserts since we love our wine. We had amazing bottle of French Cabfranc. We would go back again.

   Another great experience. Our table was ready when we arrived, our server, Jessica, was as good as it gets and our food was exactly what we were hoping for. The Candied Alligator appetizer was quite tasty and we’ve learned to split the Strip Steak, which was cooked perfectly. Our guest had the Tarragon Mussels and declared them delicious.

    Second visit commemorating wonderful first visit with my spouse, who has since passed on. Hannah was an outstanding server and reception people were all efficient and welcoming. Love this restaurant and highly recommend with the proviso that it is expensive.

    We had such a wonderful meal last night. The food was phenomenal. The chef really knew what they were doing. Our server was so nice and friendly. It was our first time there and we will be back. We got the duck and the antelope and both were cooked to perfection. We highly recommend Alligator Soul.

    Have been to Alligator Soul on a number of occasions and it never disappoints. The service is spectacular and the food is incredible. If you can get a reservation - grab it! One of the best restaurants in Savannah - by far.

    Our server was fantastic. Very aware of all the items on the menu, able to make great suggestions and very engaged with every table he was looking after. The mussels were wonderful, deserts were excellent.

    2nd time going and will return when visiting Savannah. Food and service was great. On the pricey side but it’s well worth the splurge. I’d recommend splitting a few of the appetizers and an entree to get to taste as many of their delicious dishes as possible.

    Food came quickly and was delicious in every meaning of the world! Server was able to answer detailed questions about the food and the wine list. It is expensive but it’s what you’d expect from such a place. Definitely a must try in Savannah!

    After reading reviews, I had high expectations. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth the hype. My son ordered duck and I ordered fish of the day. Nothing was a stand out for us. The beignets were just not that great either for a restaurant that claims to be Cajun and French.

    We haven’t been here in years m. So glad to see the quality and standards haven’t changed. Fantastic meal and our server Jessica was amazing. We are locals and this restaurant holds so many memories for us. Had the gumbo appetizer, fish special, and ny strip. Everything was delicious and portion sizes was large for a fine dining restaurant.

    Candied alligator was terrible, dry and chewy. Shrimp and grits was fishy tasting. I thought they must have put fish in it, that’s all I could taste. The only thing that was decent was the alligator fritters.

    It was absolutely incredible! 10/10. Especially for a special occasion. It is pricey, but, it’s worth every penny! Don’t think about it, do it! You will not regret it!

    Had a great meal. Very full for a Monday evening was a good clue we were in for a nice evening at the Alligator Soul, and we were not disappointed. Loved the room with the exposed brick and the eclectic clientele. Really enjoyed the Whistle Pig rye flight with the fabulous mushroom salad and the candied gator to start. My wife had the scallops which were excellent and I had the blackened Mahi-mahi which was perfect. Very nice wine list. The only disappointment was the dessert, a sort of a take on a pineapple upside down cake which was unfortunately dry and essentially tasteless. Matt, a terrific server who is full of personality and pleasant conversation was kind enough to take it off the bill. We will definitely be back and strongly recommend Alligator Soul.

    Ambiance and food were very good. Value on par with other "higher end" restaurant experiences in Savannah. Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, but service (not food prep time) was slow. Took 10 minutes from seating for first contact and another five minutes before water placed on table. I know that timeframe is not an eternity, but seems like a long time when waiting. Perhaps the waiter had too many tables; restaurant was moderately busy the night of our visit. All that said, we will come back. Overall experience was very good.

    Alligator Soul is an upscale, classy restaurant with a varied menu that is a mix of classics and innovative dishes. The food and service are excellent. The ambience is sophisticated. We eat at Alligator Soul every time we visit Savannah.

    Very cool vibe in basement setting with instruments on the wall. Amuse bouche set a tone of pampering, which was quickly replaced with feeling ignored. Took forever to place drink order, then even longer for cocktails to arrive (on a Thursday) Bread and entrees were outstanding. Server seemed annoyed at our request for fresh ground pepper for salad. She was simply not gracious, and her attitude left us feeling disappointed (and not ordering dessert) on a milestone birthday (which was not acknowledged)
