Aliotta's Via Firenze
We like going here, a warm friendly atmosphere. Food is good, Italian Italian not American Italian.
Food was mediocre. The restaurant is under staffed. Service was poor and unfriendly
New Year’s Eve celebration with friends. Great food and impeccable service. Love this place!
Beautiful gem of an Italian restaurant. Feels like you are dining in Italy. Service is on point. Water glasses always filled promptly. Varied menu, with very delicious choices. If you need to make any dietary changes they are more than happy to adjust to your palette.
Nice ambiance. Tasty fare. Service was slow. Was disappointed to be changed $7.50 for a glass of apple cider! Unbelievable!!
This is one of our favorite date night places. Quiet setting, you’re under no pressure to eat and run. They have a fantastic wine list. The choices for courses are great plus Chef Mike will modify them or even create something special. Forget the chain Italian restaurants. For just a little bit more enjoy truly authentic Italian cuisine in a quaint setting. You’ll immediately forget you’re in a strip mall in Torrance!
This was my second visit to Aliotta’s; the first being in 2018. It is my girlfriend and I’s yearly restaurant for our anniversary dinner. The best Italian food in town and the ambiance is excellent. Not to mention the cannoli, absolutely awesome. This will be our anniversary spot for, hopefully, many years to come.
Outstanding as usual ! Great menu...but they will make whatever you want! Fantastico!
Exceptional food and service!!!
Great as always! 👍
We celebrated a family reunion with a party of 8. Aliotta's Via Firenze was the perfect choice. The food was wonderful and the service was attentive. At the same time, they didn't mind that we stayed until closing, or maybe a bit after, just chatting and enjoying visiting together.
Had a great dinner, easy to converse and quiet enough to enjoy the evening.
We brought a friend from across town here for dinner. All evening long she kept asking why we hadn’t taken her there before. The branzino, risotto and ravioli we all delicious and the service was outstanding. Thank you to everyone at Via Firenze!
One of our favorite restaurants, and this was yet another wonderful meal. Manny always provides exceptional service. If you want a great meal served by attentive but not hovering staff, this is your best bet!
A nice place for a good Italian meal. It is a bit hard to see from the corner of Anza and Torrance Blvd. since it is behind the Carl’s Jr. in the back parking lot.
Great food and service. Place was a little dark for my in-laws. Wait staff very attentive and helpful!
Great ambience, great food, great service.
We were staying at a local hotel and saw Aliotta's on Open Table and decided to try it since it had very good reviews. It was delish!!! I had the Lamb Ossobuco which was mouth watering good, so tender. My husband had one of the veil dishes and said it was very good. We each started with the caesar salad, which was ok (just average), we have had better. The atmosphere was old world Italian, small but nice. The service was very good, especially since there was only one waiter and one busboy. I would definitely recommend Aliotta's Via Firenze to anyone who love authentic Italian food.
Disappointed in this dinner. Chose the place based on ratings but food was subpar. Most of our service was from a busboy as there was only 1 waiter. My branzino was not hot and was too lean. Salad overdressed. Pastas were okay.
This place is a class, old school Italian hidden gem nestled among hair salons and martial arts studios. Don't let the strip mall fool you. The interior is charming and elegant, with chandeliers and walls painted with scenes from the Italian countryside. The menu is extensive, and anything NOT on the menu is fair game. Just ask and they'll prepare it for you. We were glad we ordered a few of the delicious desserts that were brought out on a cart, in spite of already feeling stuffed to the gills.
We love this place. We had lived nearby for a long time before we realized we had never tried it. We were looking for great Italian food without having to drive a lot. This place fits the bill. It's three steps (or five) over any other Italian restaurant in the area. The menu is large, but they try really hard to make things to your liking. Want the grilled artichoke salad but think it's too big? They give you half. Love the gnocchi (which is homemade of course) but don't want the gorgonzola sauce? They give you about five other choices. So we can't recommend this place highly enough. And their wine list is excellent.
Impressive menu. The special mushroom soup was rich and delicious. I had the lamb Oslo buco which was a huge portion and to good not to eat it all. But I was stuffed and couldn’t try any of their deserts. Everyone in my perty also commented how good everything was
We will return !
Interesting menu with nice variety of pastas fish etc. Very good service. Salad was fresh (arugula) went for a business lunch and took way too to long to bring meals. Restaurant only had a few other diners so. It sure why took so long.
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic.
We had the shrimp and scallops. I don't think I have ever been served the quantity and quality of this item. It was perfect. We had lunch several years ago at Aliotta's and enjoyed it then. Don't know why we haven't had dinner there but will definitely be back.
The restaurant is in a strip mall, but don't let that dissuade you. On the night we were there, there were 2 Ferraris and a Maclaren in the lot! The food is excellent and the ambiance is very nice. The chef/ owner greeted each table. Our only complaint was our waiter, who was very sweet, but must have been new. It took him three tries to get the right wine and then 10 minutes to open it. Each dish was delivered to the wrong person. He mentioned that he saw in our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, but I thought there might be a complimentary dessert or glass of wine or something. There was nothing. All that said, I'd still go back. Food was fresh and authentic.
It had been years since I dined at this restaurant. I moved back to the area and wanted to share what was one of my favorite restaurants with a friend. Unfortunately it wasn’t at its best. When we arrived at 6:30, there seemed to be only one waiter on so the service was slow and we waited over 1/2 hour for him to come to out table just to order a bottle of wine. Our food came and even the Caesar salad was mediocre, the veal was just ok. I was disappointed. On top of it I watched the owner visit and welcome almost every table but ours. Everyone wants to feel special especially when they have frequented a restaurant many times and are sharing it with a friend. We were not welcomed and were not told the specials. Due to this I will probably not return.
Delicious meal and fabulous service! It is family friendly too! Will definitely go back.
Wonderful host and waiter!! Made for a very soecial birthday for my friend! Excellent pasta and lasagna!!
Lamb Osso bucco was wonderful!
The outside of the building and the parking makes this place unappealing, but don't let it deter you. The inside is cute and quaint. There's adequate space between tables, a great menu, and wonderful service. The wine list is pretty extensive, and the food was fresh and delicious.
It was good. my chicken was a little dry,but overall, it was good
We always enjoy dinner here and recommend it for any occasion or none. Pleasant waitstaff and excellent food.
Great experience. Mike greeted us at the door and we were immediately sat for our reservation. A+ service and food. Great spot.
Best Italian food in the South Bay!!!
As always-delicious food and great service. Always willing to accommodate. Our favorite place!
Sand dabs & ck parmigiana was excellent 😍😍👍🏻❣️
Excellent service, the waiter was top-notch and made every effort to make sure we understood all any menu item we asked. Also he mentioned a few times that they are more than willing to customize any order depending on diet restrictions. The veal I had was amazing and wine selection is vast and they had some bottles on special that were good and reasonable price (for a restaurant). We went on Friday evening, with a reservation, but it was never 100% full.
Consistently reliable Italian food with an excellent menu.
Had a great dinner with my wife on my birthday. We ordered the calamari to start that was absolutely delightful . My wife ordered chicken piccata with side of garlic and herb pasta which was delicious. I had the lasagna and it was awesome.
