This was my first time at the restaurant, and it won’t be my last. The service and food are excellent, the bar is beautiful and the staff extremely friendly. My only negative was that right at the end of our meal a band started music at much too high a decibel.

We went to see/support a friend playing percussion at the restaurant, everything was good until the server kept asking for $50 minimum orders since our orders didn’t add up to what they wanted. It killed the vibe. They wanted us to keep ordering everything at once so we can reach a certain amount of money, it was unprofessional you don’t keep bothering your customers and sending different servers to ask to customers to buy more in the middle of their gather. Definitely won’t think about going there, very unpleasant experience, not classy and would avoid at all cost. So many better places in the city.

Great food and very kind staff! I am regular at A La Turka. I personally love the baba ganoush and tatziki for an appetizer, The lentil soup and the falafel platter are my go to's for main courses!

Been there many times over the years. Management has changed. Yesterday (7/7) the chef had a very heavy hand with the salt, and both the babaganush and the lamb patties were oversalted almost to uneatable. The lunch package included baklava, but the portion size was about the same as a postage stamp. Our waiter was pleasant but inattentive; we had to call him repeatedly just to refill our water glasses. Disappointing after many previous good experiences.

As always an excellent feast and high quality authentic Turkish food. The server had little humor but outside of this the meal was excellent and served quickly. Several birthday parties kept the sound levels very high but it’s a fun place to be. Not recommended for a quiet romantic occasion but more for a lively fun evening

Food was terrific. Particularly lamb kebabs. Service was concerned but waiters too busy at two big tables this is my second visit with really good food! Noise level awful. Turn down the music when there are several big tables! Thanks

Great Turkish food served by a friendly staff . I had chopped lamb was really good with onions and rice making for a great combo . The Carpaccio prepared at you table is really good and fun to watch - the birthday singing is wild with big sparkles and confetti and great singing

Well I heard there was live music on Thursday. Belly dancers. Not so much. But the food and service was very good. And it was my wife’s birthday, and they have a super Turkish hoopla for that. Worth going.

We were there for lunch. I believe this is one of the best values in NYC, and the food was great!! The meal was 4 courses and priced at $22.95 per person. I started with the coban, a very simple fresh salad of cucumber, red onion, and tomato. It was dressed with what I believe to be oil and red wine vinegar. I also had babagnaoush, which tasted smokey and delicious! For the third course, I chose stuffed cabage. The prortion was large with two big stuffed cabage rolls on the plate. The meal ended with a rich, sweet piece of baklava. You could easily take enough home to have dinner too. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The bread, the smell, brought memories of my childhood in Turkiye we would pick it up daily from the market. The food was wonderful! The service amazing. Our waitress and the many others we came in contact with while dining were over the top kind and helpful. Most memorable meal was a special they had of a short rib slow cooked for 6-8 hours. When they brought it to the table it was a show of culinary display. We watched the chef finish prep to the meal while sparklers and cold ice contributed to the show. An amazing experience! My husband could not eat it all in one sitting there was so much meat!

First time going to this restaurant and it was not a good experience. The server spelled a tray of water and wine on me and my family. We were soaking wet, and they pretend like nothing happened. We ask for manger no one came to acknowledge their mistake. The service and management was horrible!

A La Turka is our neighborhood Turkish restaurant and we go there for dinner a lot. As usual, on this last visit, the food was very good and the service was very bad. The server didn't know what she was doing, we waited a very long time for our food, and waited even longer for the check. Go and enjoy the food but be prepared for a long night!

We definitely enjoyed the Turkish food selection - it was absolutely scrumptious. Everything was fresh and quickly served. Our servers were attentive yet not pushy, which is what I prefer being European. Highly recommended, and worth the price.

My friend and I came on a Sat. evening for dinner at 7:15pm. The restaurant was nosier than usual.. It looked like they added more tables. We were glad that we had a corner table which was slightly quieter. We asked the waiter to lower the music since it was so loud.. He did, which helped. They had a new menu.. most items were still there, however my favorite Green Salad wasn't :( I was very disappointed. I would love if they could put it back, please!! Otherwise our octopus and salmon were delish as always.
