    We had an exceptional experience with outstanding service at this perfect spot for a quiet, delightful dinner on our last evening in Nashville. The menu was diverse, and every dish we tried was delicious and perfectly cooked. The bar also served fantastic drinks. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Nashville.

    I've been to 404 Kitchen before & had a wonderful meal. But the experience on Thanksgiving 2023 was disgraceful. When I made the reservation months ago, I did not know it was a buffet. When I learned that would be the format, I was not bothered, picturing carving stations and a nice layout including appetizers through dessert. I made this assumption based on the first-rate experience I had previously. What we actually got was a bunch of steam table chafing dishes with serve-yourself mains and sides and a separate dessert table. The turkey was packaged turkey breast that you can get at Costco. I saw a couple of measly thin slices of beef in the next chafing dish. Maybe there was ham somewhere. No appetizers, no cold salads, just an institutional presentation of stuff. Think "special meal" for inmates. We took no food. We thought we'd persevere in spite of me receiving a pre-dinner drink that was not what I ordered. The wine list was sparse, but we found a 2016 Brunello for $135 on the list. We ordered it, deciding that even mediocre food would be better with a good bottle. Our server brought back a different, lesser vintage Brunello. When I expressed disappointment, she went back "to the sommelier" to make sure 2016 was unavailable. It was. I started to ask if they would discount the lesser bottle & before I could finish my sentence, she interrupted me to say the somm already said there would be no discount. That was the last straw. We left $40 cash on the table for the 2 drinks & tip and went to eat and drink elsewhere. The entire experience, from a too-packed waiting area (all with reservations), institutional food, bad lighting, and the misrepresented wine vintage without apology impressed us as astoundingly disrespectful to customers. Back at ya, 404 Kitchen. We don't respect you anymore, either.

    We were able to snag a last minute reservation for Thanksgiving this year. The ambience was lovely, and the food was amazing. Prime rib, turkey, and the classic sides were all delicious. We were able to reserve a table outside on the rooftop. My water glass was always filled whenever staff would pass by and Goldie, our server, was great. I certainly wouldn’t mind coming here again for Thanksgiving. Also, this place is kid-friendly! Highly recommend

Had to wait 30min even though we made reservations Looooong lines finally got up to good and no turkey , running out of food , hard to move around restaurant Food Luke warm , desserts were mostly gone Seemed very unorganized Additional surprise charges

    Great dining and hospitality experience! We had cocktails at Gertie’s while waiting for our table. The bartender was great! Rachel, our waitress, was exceptional! We are considering returning Thanksgiving week next year. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Nashville and 404 Kitchen. Thank you all for making our experience a great one!

    Spectacular all the way around. Phenomenal service from Ashleigh and team. Accommodating. Incredible food. Beverage selection (whiskey, wine, cocktails) was Broad and interesting. One of the best dining experiences I have had in a very long time. I could not recommend this spot more!

    Last night, we ate at 404 Kitchen, a restaurant located in the Gulch, Nashville that continues to excel. We decided to eat tapas-style, which allowed us to sample different dishes without being full! We had the grilled oysters (4 of them- maybe the best we have ever tested), the pork belly (excellent and generous size), the shrimp and grits (excellent too, and the shrimps were perfectly cooked), and the gnudi (braised rabbit- still very good but a tiny step behind the three other choices). We finished with the chocolate creme brulee- I prefer the regular creme brulee but it was good). We accompanied the food with a 2016 Castel Verdino Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. This is a full-body wine with scents of spices, even a hint of liquorice. I highly recommend it paired with food like game, venison or spicy sausage, or with hard cheese. We loved it! We definitely will come back

    Checked in. We were about 20 mins early. Hostess said our table was actually ready and sent us upstairs. Upstairs hostess said " no your reservation isn't until 9" and rudely told us to go back down. She wouldn't even let us explain that we were told to come up. We went and waited at the bar. Great bartenders that made great cocktails! Old fashioned and martinis were amazing. After being seated for dinner, we were promptly served. Food came out quick and service was great. They even gave us complimentary champagne to taost our friends 50th birthday. Food was a little bland but overall a nice experience.

    I had contracted with 404 Kitchen for a dinner meeting and wanted to stop by ahead of time to see the space, have dinner as a preview of what my guests would experience. Everything we ordered was delicious and so well prepared. Caleb the manager was super helpful and informative and Garrett our server was timely and personable. I highly recommend! It's a super short walk from the W Nashville.

    Menu was complicated unnecessarily. Creations were trying to be a combination of Paul Kahan and Wylie Dufresne with the execution of neither. Don’t recommend.

    We had high expectations for 404 Kitchen. They, along with many restaurants…are understaffed, overwhelmed, and can’t keep up. Our food was fine, but the pace of checking in by the wait staff was slow. Lastly - the Nashville Liquor Tax at a restaurant is INSANE. Please check your bill, and DO NOT include the Liquor Tax in your tip amount.

    We had a large party (16) and our experience was excellent. Excellent food (and a very gluten-free friendly menu) and outstanding service. Our server was attentive and very communicative. The food was very, very good - the smoked & fried whole chicken being a particular standout. Would highly recommend!

    The waiter was super nice. I think they were short staffed so he seemed rushed at times but overall hospitable. Not too much to complain about service wise. BUT The food was AWFUL. Definitely the worst dining experience from an eating stand point I’ve ever had in Nashville. Unless something drastically changes, I will never be back or recommend anyone eat here. The bill was over $700 for 5 people. I would not pay $2 for food of this quality.

    The cocktails and food were very good. As soon as I was seated servers came over did an intro. Food was very good the catfish bites were so tasty. I had the fish of the day and it was very good. Recommend the sides and the apple cheesecake!

    The 72 hour tri tip was honestly a top 10 best meal we’ve ever had. Fully recommend it, along with everything else we ate. Feels like you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Impeccable meal, service, and experience.

    It was a busy weekend. We had a large party, and were releagted to an upstairs very bland white room with other large oparties. The satff tried hard but were clearly overwhelmed. We had to use a limited menu because our party was 17 people. The apps were good, the netrees were not great. I have a feeling if you eat donstairs with a small party the experience woul;d be much better. The servers were lovely but just struggling to take care of too many people.

    Our server was so very nice. She offered suggestions, noticed when we needed additional plates and engaged with us about the city and asked if we were celebrating a special event. The food was good. We both ordered the trout and it wasn’t bad. We had ‘the loaf’ for dessert and it looked like hamburger helper with ice cream, but it didn’t taste bad. It was very cold in the restaurant and the music selection was like 80s which didn’t fit the ambiance, but I would recommend it.

    I love 404 Kitchen. The pimento cheese with their homemade crackers are so incredibly good and are a must have. My partner and I shared the pork chop and filet and both were cooked perfectly. Service was great, cocktails were done perfectly, and the ambience was the perfect blend of people all having a good time while getting to focus on your own group as well.

    The staff at 404 was terrific! Friendly, timely and attentive. The cocktails were interesting and delicious. Our waitress was kind enough to provide a few birthday perks - a cocktail and dessert. Sadly, the food was very average, overpriced and meager. The dining room is loud and disappointing. The bar looked fun and well stocked. I would stop by for a drink but skip the kitchen. There are plenty of choices in Nash for a delicious dinner.
