   This place was simply amazing my wife and I spent our 12th Wedding Anniversary there for dinner. The food the service and the atmosphere was just wonderful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and our waiter Jefferson was awesome.

   Zach was amazing. He was very attentive and had a great personality. The food was fabulous! The ambiance was really nice with chandelier lighting and a nice pianist playing the piano. Definitely need to make reservations. A nice ending to our last night in Savannah.

   Our date night was OUTSTANDING. Our server was amazing and made us well informed of specials, drinks, and even coursed our food out for us. He was also very attentive! The staff is very well trained (consistency in customer service was beautiful) and friendly. The food was TO DIE FOR. I’ve never had food so good and my husband was delighted with my choice of venue FOR ONCE. Thank you to the staff and I will definitely come again.

   After an awful experience at a different restaurant the night before, it was nice to go to 1790. The food, service and ambiance were excellent! Lots of locals eat and drink here which is always a good sign in my opinion. Try 1790 and enjoy!!

    We’ve dined here many times before and always enjoyed excellent food and service. Not so tonight. While the service was good and the server attentive, the food was a huge disappointment. Appetizers were escargot which was very good as was the crab bisque. The crab stuffed mushrooms arrived lukewarm and the spices used, over powered the crabmeat. The short rib entree was good. Two of us ordered the pecan encrusted flounder minus the tomato chutney. The crust was too thick and the fish tasteless. Served lukewarm it was a huge disappointment. Will be a long time before we return, if ever.

    Food and service were amazing. My only gripe is that we were seated at a very dark table at the back of the restaurant. Wish we’d have asked to move. Would definitely recommend.

    We had a lovely dinner with excellent food! My wife had the pecan crusted flounder that she found one of the best dishes she had in a long time. Also had a wonderful piano player providing lovely live music for dinner in such an old and intimate setting. One of our favorite meals while in Savannah!

    We went here for our anniversary while on vacation, and we made the right choice. Since it was Sunday, we were able to park next to the restaurant. Our server was Ernie, and he was great. He answered all our questions about the menu and was very attentive without hovering. We're not big oyster eaters, but the oysters Rockefeller were phenomenal. Both our steaks were cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. The maple glazed carrots were not a sweet as I expected, which for me was a major plus. The ambiance was what we wanted for the occasion. The live piano was nice. While some of the customers were wearing shorts, overall the ambiance was upscale without being stuffy. While our dinner was a bit expensive because we got two appetizers, two entrees, and a dessert to go, the value was great for all we got.

    Absolutely loved our dinner here. The food was amazing, waitstaff was so friendly and accommodating, atmosphere was perfect, and we loved the live piano music playing while we ate. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for quality food and service in Savannah!

    Our server was great and the food was excellent. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the filet mignon and lobster tail. Both were very good. The atmosphere was very nice and the piano player was a nice added touch. Will definitely return the next time we're in Savannah.

    The food, the service, and the atmosphere were outstanding!  Martha at the bar treated us like regulars. Madison, our server couldn’t have been more attentive. Even the hostess made a great effort to make sure we were happy with the table she gave us to celebrate a special occasion.  We went here the last of our stay in Savannah, but wish we found this restaurant earlier. We will be sure to return during our next visit to this beautiful city.

    We returned to Savannah for a vacation after 10 years and this location was on our (return to list)!!! It is a remarkable experience and the food is absolutely delicious! The ambiance, atmosphere, and service is amazing, and the food isn’t meant to break the bank. Please do yourself a favor and stay around the area before or after dinner.     The service was great and the ambiance was charming. The Boursin chicken was a bit rich but tasty. We ordered a sea bass special and was surprised to see that it was $65 when we got the bill. I would have expected it to be about $40ish. Moral of the story…if you want a special, ask how much it is first bc it may be pricey. All in all I would go back again!

    My husband and I went there on our date night and it was amazing! Service was superb. Food was delicious and the drinks were cold and refreshing. Loved our waiter, he was nice and attentive.     The restaurant is very nice in an old building nice low lighting old floors make look even cooler! But the food wasn't seasoned very well everything was just very thrown on the plates. The prices for what we paid felt like we should have gone to another restaurant. We are locals so they are others in the area for that price would have been better going to, The honey biscuits were the best thing there!

    A beautiful old building with wonderful food, wine and a piano player playing Debussy, some Baroque and romantic musical numbers. The crab cakes were bursting with fresh crab, and the Eggplant Napoleon was truly delicious. You must order dessert! The cakes are marvelous. My husband and I have s new “must go to” restaurant in Savannah. It lives up to its reputation in ever way.

    Everything we ate was wonderful. We had a chicken, Caesar salad, salmon. Fritters, chicken, mushroom soup with a kick, rack of lamb, and a 12 ounce ribeye. And the kid’s chicken fingers and fries, and you will not be disappointed. go ahead and make the reservations!

    Food was excellent, wait staff amazing - friendly, courteous. Service was fast, wonderful. Piano player added to the ambiance. It was a birthday dinner for me and I was presented with dessert with Happy Birthday on the plate. Nice touch.
